I have a2014 Kia optima and I’m at 270,500 miles. My gas mileage is good and I drive for Uber. I do have to take it every summer to get something done for 160 dollars to get the A.C. Working but it’s not strong. I have a new engine from 2020 because of the recall. Otherwise it’s ok. The toes I have to replace cuz I am an Uber driver and other than a few issues that’s it. I’ve had it for 5 years now.
For everybody who has the AC problem you have to change the condenser as well because it leaks over time. That's why after changing just the compressor it stops cooling after a couple of months.
😂 I have a 2012 kia optima ex lemon. 2 engine replacements 1 trans replacement 3 hub bearing replacement ocv for vvt 4 times as of two days ago. Currently, it is unable to drive due to limp mode. 250,796mi 17 safety recalls completed. 2 Radiator replacement 1Radiator fan replacements 3 alternator replacements fuel rail fuel pump 3 gas caps 2 purge control valves 52 engine/ cabin filters 3 key fobs 46 oil/filter changes 1 coil pak 12 spark plugs 2 air compressors 1 air vent clean kit 16 wippers 1 windshield 2 rear glasses ( busted while at the dealership at wait for said engine replament by rouge golf ball) 6 passenger, 2 driver window replacements due to theft. 9 breakdowns 8 tows 37 parking tickets 6 speeding tickets 2 thermostates 1 oxygen sensor. A noticeable difference from past performance. I can't even begin to tell you how many tires rims(yes, you heard me right...rims.) numerous tie rods /suspension parts and repairs estimated cost 38,000 in 12 years not bad😅. But I most agree when it is working properly a fun car to drive. In fact, if not for all the problems including the one currently it would be the best car I ever owned. But unless my next car is either dirt cheap near to/ if not free I will not choose a kia again. Yeah... good idea blow this response up and maybe just maybe they might see this injustice and gift me a brand new car. And free gas for a year.... yeah right😅
I have a 2011 kia optima sx. 141k mills on it. No major issues. Just replaced my outer tire rods. Same AC issues. Compressor has been replaced once. Very slow freon leak somewhere. Has to be charged every 6 months. Other than that. Extremely reliable car.
@VashonBW got my 2018 2.4L Kia optima @68,000 a year and 8 months ago the car now has 184,000 miles on it now and still runs good I’ve changed the throttle body and battery that’s pretty much it I do need to change lower tie rods or ball joints tho now :/ other than that car runs great I also drove it real hard thoes 100,000 miles car has been up to 138 mph
The hard shift. Does your car jumps/shake once when it goes in low gear?...what i mean is it gives a false sense of it being supercharge or something when its not lol...like you feel it it in your back when it shake once, happens a few times when shifting down to second gear...then sometimes it revs when im not applying that much pressure on the gas pedal ...just doing constant speed
F#@@$# A/C. Brought my car to KIA in my area twice where I have regular maintenance since I bought it in 2014. I spent over 5000$ (changed all the fluids 2x, hoses, clamps, rings) and the A/C still doesn't work. Other than that... great Kar!!!

I have a 2016 ex 2.4 with 170k miles. Having the same tire wear issue (on inside of tire) , check your shocks/struts.
A bad ball joint could cause uneven treadwear on tires

Lol like hell bro thanks for ur honesty
Hello, from Fort Lauderdale. I am coming to this conversation late. In regards to the transmission, have you kept up with transmission fluid changes?
I honestly have never done a fluid change on the transmission. My car now has 220k miles and no issues.
I have a 2011 kia optima sx. 141k mills on it. No major issues. Just replaced my outer tire rods. Same AC issues. Compressor has been replaced once. Very slow freon leak somewhere. Has to be charged every 6 months. Other than that. Extremely reliable car.
My Kia now has 220k miles. I just had to deal with some minor ware items but nothing major. The car has been super reliable.

You have change the condenser and the Compressor not just the compressor. The condenser has small leaks in this car and is easy to change
2008 Kia optima 180,000 had some brake issues awhile back but other than that 23 mpg it's a good car

Yes it does seem to shift hard in lower gears at times.
I had to get a catalytic converter 70,000 miles on it put on not even my first car payment 23 miles a gallon.2015
Check tie rod if your car keeps coming out of alignment and you have other suspension issues in general.
I just replaced the control arms and tie rods. Hoping that will work
I have the same one seems like the gas mileage is bad..And lots of issues ac yes..
ngl kiasa are trash you should get toyota honda or lexus you would of never had nun of those problems with those cars i listed
😮
I have 2012 with 53k. No issue so far except I get no heat on the passenger side.
That’s pretty low miles for the year. The no heat on the passenger side is a pretty easy fix. I forget the name of the part needed but an easy fix
Actuator
@@MrUckenny2 is this expensive to fix?
@@MyMeTube I can’t tell you the price because I do things myself but I would guess a couple hundred
i have a 2009 @193k and no issues
