Yes... yes he did.
All of the facts have real-world equivalents, too, so that's interesting. Obviously with name changes and reverses, like how Buzz was called Lunar Larry, but in this universe it's the opposite (for copyright reasons).
Not-so-twist ending. Especially if you're an '80s horror schlock fan.
It's always an event when a new puppetcombo game comes out.

This was actually a really good one! loved it ^^ But like what's with the beef with VHS rent stores? it's like a bajillionth time I see this in indy games.

Mostly a nostalgia thing.
Alot of horror fans of a certain age got into the genre (especially slashers) through video store rentals, picking up weird and obscure horror movies in the 80s and 90s, and getting into it from there
So the reporter was the one from the prologue? This feels too much like freak island to me.

littering in general is ridiculous but it feels even worse in a place like this.
the chase sequence was really bad, not only is it hard to believe such an area design exists...but....rock music? really?....this is a horror game right? i'm getting the wrong feeling...
i...i thought there were only 3 disappearances. why is there this much blood, bodies and flesh at his hideout?
how does going back to the cell fool him? you and him are the only people in this building. it should be 100% obvious you got out of your cell. it isn't like he is an idiot considering he set up this unnecessarily complicated puzzle system by himself. locking himself out of areas as well.

Overall
putting the immersion destroying issues mentioned above aside. this was pretty good, several locations to explore, some unexpected events and a satisfying ending.
i would put this above the average horror game even with its flaws.
