It’s literally the player that controls them. The entity is implied to be the player, that’s why we can read Noelle’s thoughts and why Kris is acting strangely.
Is these kinda route I'm hesitant to let my little brothers play, although unlike the genocide in Undertale the Snowgrave route is harder to unlock at least so I could probably get away with them playing it.
