- Sceptical - that's what we were about how good a Robot Lawnmower could be - and after two months, the verdict is in on the WORX Tools Landroid - Here's Trev's review.
Unboxing and Setup: • WORX Landroid Unboxing...
I just got one. I was so tired of being attacked by fire ants when mowing. It’s also hard to push mow around my trees and bushes. I guess I will let my Edward get attacked by the fire ants now. He won’t care.
How long does it take to make your lawn look even? I just got mine like 2 days ago and they are some spots that aren't cut so my lawn looks kinda weird in this stage.
Once you've actually had it get around it all (could take a few runs, it's random after all), it just goes out and trims daily, it doesn't "go out to mow")
I own an L1500 and after a year I think for a regular garden it's useless, requires human intervention several times a day. It leaves the wire with no reason then stops with error message, or gives "mower lifted" error because there's a 1cm deep pit which is normal I guess in a garden which you use or if you have a dog. Firmware is getting worse and worse with updates leading to more full stops per day. Works fine if you had a perfect garden and the cut quality is excellent but for most of us it simply does not do the job as it's not capable to work on its own. I deeply regret my decision to purchase a Landroid.
Did you ever fix it.
This is my latest gen mower

Ducking hopeless. Worst purchase I’ve ever made.
@@ibsn87 most of the issues were solved by mounting Roboclaws but in your case it looks like a bug in the firmware.
Great review, love it. I have better things to do with my weekend than mowing lawns and if the Landroid can do it for me then its a win win....
Very true!
can you still use a trimmer to get clean lines on the edges (where the wire is)?
I call mine "the electric goat". If you have 1m space to have a path from the front to the back, you can lay your wires out to give it a path to do both lawns. Mine does.
Can Edward bring you a beer? While you sit outside watching him work? Nice review and like your lawn.
Just curious about your rain comment. I got a lot of rain where I am at and you mentioned about a sensor on it, which is great to know. I am curious though, does it know if part of your grass is flooded after a few days due to drainage issues to avoid that part of the grass until it drains or would it just going into the puddle? Also, is it waterproof, since you mentioned about it being able to put in the rain? Finally, how does it handle fenced in yards? I was hoping this could do both my front and backyard, with the cavoite that I will have to open the fence door to do this.
No, it just knows if it’s been raining due to water on it’s sensor.. it has no idea about the actual ground conditions
Honestly, it’s the best robot for lazy people! The ai is next level, the features are useful and it’s silent. The app is very well refined, but I had a problem with it in the beginning, it got stuck a lot so I looked under it and there where some kind of blade cover, I removed that and I haven’t touched it for months!
I have a landroid 140 M and it's pretty impressive but I'm not really that impressed with the intelligence part. If you think about it you will realize that a lot of these supposedly new tech gadgets are really old tech gadgets.
I got a Christmas present in the 1960's that worked simular to these lawnmowers. It was a army tank that run on the floor and every time it bumped into something it would turn around and go a different direction. Each time it did that it would cover new ground on its own. These lawnmowers do the same thing but with a boundry point. When people get bored with the old tech and quit buying it then they will bring out the new.
Lookout! Edward is trying to run you over! D:
Which model Landroid is Edward?
Worx robotmower is not good. Front to low. Mower digs into the ground and stops. Do not buy a Worx.
Thanks very much!
Very informative review!
I love that you named him lol
Awesome!
hey
Geez, expensive for a very slow half assed robot mower that not only will require you to work as well but leave an incomplete lawn that will take about a week to complete at this rate. 😕
you need to sell that thing and start cutting the lawn yourself. Get rid of that spare tire. I'm 60lbs overweight. The last thing I need is a robot doing more physical work for me.
Cheers for the YOUR FAT comment mate, but it aint the lawns causing that, its the chocolate thanks very much.
Go to the gym or exercise ✌🏾
$100 to mow your backyard ?? Sorry Trev, I pay $30 for a top job.
Trevor Just get a good mower
This product is :-----------
VERY 2nd Rate
Ahh, Dave - I've got several mowers, have tested many, THIS is doing a bloody brilliant job.
@@EFTM You sound like a politician in you answer.
The lawn doesn't look that flash!!
Not being a Nark BUT, buy a nice mower and exercise......., Lawn would love you and for you probably less work.
If you have a wife, you don’t need one of these high-dollar mowers ...
