Another great film Percy coming on well great to watch his progress good thing is it's not all perfect training good to see how you deal with any mistakes and how to correct them
Hi Ross thanks for your comments. Your are right it doesn't always go right but I am a great believer in prevention is better than cure so I do try and get each step fully embedded before moving on. All the best and keep safe Cheers Nick
Really great progress Percy is coming on leaps and bounds.Ted is amazing.Still trying with my pup but she is still nose to ground constantly when we're out and it's hard to keep her attention on the training .Enjoying Percy training vlogs cheers👍
Hi Steve thanks for your comments....Have you tried doing some of your training in the garden or a playing field where there may not be so many distractions? Just a thought...cheers Nick
Great stuff nick, my springer is a about a month older than percy and he's coming on fantastic. Been working on some directional training and he's doing great. At what age would you say is OK to take them along on the beating line? Steadiness is great and he's already flushed a brace of partridge and a few snipe!
Morning Drew, thanks for your comments. To be honest I never put a fixed age on taking the dogs into the beating line ti depends not only on the dog but also the kind of shoots you may be going on. For example if you go on a big shoot with a lot of birds about that could just be too much for a young dog, equally if you go on a more informal shoot where the dogs can be less disciplined that can also cause problems. I would suggest that if things keep going in the right direction with your springer and you are happy with his training you could look at taking him out in Jan when there are not so many birds about. You have hopefully got ten years or more with him so don't rush and spoil all your hard work. Hope this helps. Cheers Nick
HI Dave, thanks for your comments. I use a Go Pro Hero 8 for the beating / shooting videos and I use a Canon EOS R for the Percy vid's hope this helps. Cheers Nick
Very enjoyable film again. You are going to have a great team with percy as well . Stay safe.

Brilliant video. My pup is due mid May so a good few months off from this.
