  • In a dramatic hand from The Hustler Casino Live Cash Game, tensions ran high at Hustler Casino in California in 2023. With blinds at $100/$200/$400 and a $200 big blind ante, Henry, Will, and Eric found themselves embroiled in a pivotal pot.
    Henry, in the cutoff (CO) with K9ss and $76,400 (191 big blinds), initiated the action by raising to $1,200. Will, in the big blind (BB) with QsJh and $29,100 (73 big blinds), called. Eric, under the gun straddle (UTG|S) with JsJd and $161,900 (405 big blinds), 3-bet to $6,400. Both Henry and Will called, setting up a substantial pot.
    The pot grew to $19,500 as the flop came Kd Kc 9c, giving Henry a full house and Eric two pair. Will checked, and Eric led out with a bet of $6,000. Henry called, while Will folded, narrowing the field to two players.
    With the pot now at $31,500, the turn brought the Jc, giving Eric a full house but still trailing Henry's stronger full house. Eric checked, and Henry seized the moment to bet $15,500. Eric, confident in his hand, called.
    The river revealed the 2d, finalizing the board as Kd Kc 9c Jc 2d. Eric checked again, and Henry went all-in for $48,500. After a moment of deliberation, Eric called, creating a massive $159,500 pot.
    Henry turned over his full house, K9ss, besting Eric's Jacks full of Kings. This devastating loss led to Eric abruptly leaving the game, despite being invited to play. His departure after such a significant hand was considered bad etiquette, particularly given the high-stakes nature of the game and the expectations of sportsmanship and commitment among invited players.

      It depends of the country/place you play in. If you are loosing, you can leave when you want everywhere.
      If you are winning, it is considered bad etiquette to leave just after winning a big pot.
      In some private games and some casinos you must play a minimum amount of time if you are winning (generally between 1 and 3 hours).
      Where I usually play, If you coolered a player and leave just after, don't expect to be invited again.

      If you get stacked and then decided to leave that’s absolutely fine. Basically in a cash game at a casino it’s absolutely fine to leave whenever you want.
      If it’s a home game or like HCL where you accept an invitation to play you are expected to play for at least a couple of hours.
      So getting stacked early in an invited game like HCL can lead to a slightly awkward situation but I personally don’t blame the player for wanting to leave after blowing 150k - I would suggest next time though he plays in a lower stakes game!

Andy is right tho bc if people are going to be in and out of a poker stream then they shouldn't be on stream bc what Eric is doing will lose viewers because it stalls the game. It's simply bad etiquette, idk how long the dude was there for but if he's been there for less than 4 hours then that is bad etiquette and shouldn't be on stream anymore, if its longer than 4 hours then I think its fine. Context is different if he lost his whole stack. Remember you're there to entertain people and its the only reason why pokwer streams like this exist so if you're there to only leave when you're up then you shouldn't even sit at the streaming table.

    Someone mentioned he was still up after this loss and was running for the hills to protect the profits. This is more like a sloppu hit and run, where he gave back some first before deciding he wasnt willing to risk it all. Definitely bad for the game and the stream if players behave like this- you came to play a session now play it out like a man.

    This is the scummy side of poker. No empathy for coolers, and there is always one guy who wants to needle you so that you will tilt and lose even more. Turn the tables around on them and they want to cry and have your reputation destroyed. I wonder how upset clowns like Shawn Deeb would get if they got slow rolled in a massive pot.

      No, but he doesnt get to fuck the Game after 5 minutes and having lost only half of the money he used to claim the seat. This high stakes, not normal poker, your reputation follows you. And if you set down with 150k and lose 1 hand for half of it and leave, you won't be invited back.

    •  Місяць тому

      Because that's the expecation of accepting an invite to this game. You don't get to leave after not playing for very long, especially when you're up. But even if he got stacked, you shouldn't be leaving quickly, you're expected to risk multiple buy-ins.
      He's not obligated to do this, but he won't be invited back.

    Andy wasn't even in the fucking hand.
    See, there's this bullshit "etiquette" being talked about lately about hitting and running. From the moment you sit down in a cash game, your money is at risk. This is no limit, you can lose your entire buy in on the first hand. Fuck what anyone says, leave when you want.

  • @keevot
    @keevot Місяць тому

    A lot of people commenting don’t understand the difference between a streamed game like this, and your 1/2 game at your local casino. The guy was up heaps, then loses one massive hand and decides to leave, leaving the rest of the players in a bad spot. When you get felted for your $125 you get up and leave and another donkey replaces you. When he leaves, the game dies.

  • @marksimpson2321
    @marksimpson2321 Місяць тому

    It's difficult but if these streamed games can only go ahead if a guy aho has a plane to catch in 3h plays to get the game going, then it's unsustainable and they should lower the stakes. These games are conprised of v good players some rich not v good players who will slowly lose and stop playing. Poker is popular but you see games at all levels dying cos most lose except the house and cost of iving is higher than ever.

    There are so many knuckleheads in the comments lol. That poker table is for poker players who understands they’re there to play poker. Its not your typical poker table where anybody can join, its an unspoken rule that you are to play until its time to break up or go home.

  • @bobvest8973

    Ppl if you dont play in these games, then dont comment. They are invite only. They are high stakes. And 10 ppl were turned away for you to have your seat. If you play 5 minutes and leave, it leaves the game short handed. If you sat down you know you're expected to risk multiple buy ins. I can promise you wont get invited back if you do this because it fucks the game if theres no alternates.
    Also, he bought in for 150k, and only lost 75 k of it. He didnt even lose a full buy in. He lost a 150k pot but only half of it was his money.

    • @Josho4096
      @Josho4096 Місяць тому +1

      Well then it sounds like they are bad at organizing a game. You gotta have alternates. Unless they are staking part of my buying then Noone, especially other players or noob youtube commentators should be giving me their opinions on when or where I should or shouldn't be risking my own money. If I don't get invited back, so be it. No hard feelings. It's just like any other card game or casino table, I can sit down for for a hand of blackjack or multiple shoes, it's my choice, fck off anyone trying g to tell me when I could come in. Don't like it? Make it a rule then. Nuff said.

    •  Місяць тому

      @@Josho4096 Yes, they absolutely should be giving their opinions. You get INVITED to play, and that invitation comes with expectations. If you don't meet those expectations, then you don't get invited back.
