Pete I feel the same way you do. I didn’t go up on my egg prices when the others did. I had one customer ask me if I was going up. I said, no sir, I went up when feed went up. I have no reason to go up now. I value my customers. Thank you for sharing your life with us on here all the time. Enjoy the videos.
Pete and Missus who’s name I’m blanking on. You two make a wonderful team. It’s a pleasure to see you both together in action. I’m not a farmer so other than mowing my excuses for having a small bunch of garden tractors (+ 1 40hp) is I just like em. My wife sure could learn to harass me less, and help me push them around.
Pete enjoy your videos. I appreciate that you have a great understanding of long term relationships with your customers. Have a great rest of your week.
Pete, you are right about prices and the relationship with your customers at the farmers market. I was approached early in the season at our farmers market a couple years ago by new vendor that wanted me to raise my prices for kale and mustard greens. I explained that I was fine with my prices because I knew my production cost. My customers come looking for me every year and I really appreciate them and they appreciate me. I sold everything I brought that day, as usual. Seeing he was frustrated, I asked him what was his problem. He said it was that my bags of greens were twice the size of his for half of his price. He stood at his table all morning and I didn't see him sell anything. I also gave him my opinion about colluding and price fixing. I don't think he embraces the concept capitalism. He came to sell one more Saturday then I never saw him again.
Morning coffee with Hillary and Pete. That is a real treat. Famous bad jokes, strolling through the hen house, seeing the tractors, watching the piggers, and feeling the warm weather .... what a calming effect. But I did not hear Patty complain about her food... maybe next time. Thank you for your delightful gift.
Pete, you have officially taken the top spot in my mind as far as UA-cam channels go. You and Evan, from Country View Acres, both do a great job providing entertaining but also informative content without becoming the pushy salesmen. I know sponsorships pay the bills in many cases on here, but some channels have become grossly consumed by pushing products. I can't wait to see the 756 restoration next winter. Your TRUE love for what you do is evident in all your videos!
I normally don't promote, but if you find your viewing entertainment growing tiresome and stale, check out Matt's Off Road Recovery for a complete change of pace. Nice crew with outstanding morals despite the beautiful, but harsh elements of the high desert regions and a stellar conviction to quality service. @MattsOffRoadRecovery
But the bad feed causing chickens to stop laying is conspiracy!!! Pete is has a brilliant mind and has accomplished much. That said, I was disappointed in his doubting the word of so many homesteaders who have also raised chickens for years and through trial and error realized it was the feed that was the cause of their chickens laying less. Not conspiracy theory at all.
I wonder if you have ever watch any from Geirok Farms. They are another small farm operating in WI on land that is extremely hilly. They take excellent care of their equipment and are also aware of the importance of preventive maintenance. From MI here. I rate them as a close favorite to Pete's channel. Hope you don't mind my suggesting this. It is so nice to have places to watch that are fun, informational and entertaining.
My hubby always got a head start..getting the machinery in tip top condition...as soon as haying season was over...he kept the tractor up for we needed it to help out through the bitter cold winters..ploughing out the high wind blown drifts...so we could get to barn to feed the livestock...it was never ending..once the snow was gone he got the 2 acre garden ready for me with it..then re-serviced it again for the big hay challenge...coming up in the 1st. of july.....our Red massy Ferguson...was the only tractor we had... it was a work horse....but he made sure it was always up and going to do the task at hand....the only piece of machinery that gave us problems was our old new Holland baler...know matter how many times that was in the repair shop...over that knotter on the left side...next to the tire side of the machine...would eventually start breaking shear pins...on every third bale...he had to stop get off and hand tie that side of hay...every year..it would do this..when we sold the farm..this equipment went with it..we attached a note to that side of the baler...good luck with this, here is a new box of shear pins...every third bale..????. I think that baler was haunted.......
Nothing more aggravating than a baler giving you fits, you think you got it all fixed and set to the book specs and a half a load later back to the same problem.
The 756 restore will be an awesome series! It sure will be interesting doing it in that little shop. Nice to have the occasional bad Dad joke back in the videos. 😊😊😊
Another great video Pete! My grandpa always told me “Take care of your equipment and it’ll take care of you”. And I’ve always tried to live by that. Long live old iron!
Thanks for your post. I always enjoy your channel. I find that you are a calming, logical voice in a world that seems to get crazier every day. Keep up the good work..
The first tractor I ever drove to do work was a 656 just like the one you have. That was about 50 years ago. My dad was a cotton/soybean farmer in MS and I helped out for a few years. He was a die hard Farmall man. Every tractor we had was red. Seeing all your old tractors brings back memories. I love your channel.
Once again, a great video. You and Hillary are a dynamic duo on the farm. Enjoy the jokes and have been sharing them in the workplace. Best wishes and be safe.
Good Morning! As I type this, I’ve got a big smile on my face! Thank you Pete for bringing happiness through your videos! I enjoy watching Hillary jump for joy because the tractor fit! Don’t forget about JJ and Bossy Pig next time! Enjoy your day!
Pete, your so right, loyalty goes both ways, your loyal to your customers and they will be loyal to you, in most cases. There was a time that all that was needed was mutual respect for each other.
I had an 856 for a while, got distracted by another tractor project so I sold it. I'd love to have a 766 one day. That 756 will be beautiful once you restore it!
👍tight squeeeeeze there guys ! But ya got the old girl in ! Would love to watch you restore her too Pete! Your restoration projects turn out better than magnificent ! We're so grateful you share so much with us ! Love the little piggies 🐽 ! You betcha ...well see you next time ! 😉
You are a wise and clever man Pete, on top of your game sorting your machinery in idle times before the heavy season starts and knowing the machines are ready and waiting for work without any failures (getting to them before it happens)
You have a fine collection of classic Farmall tractors and should be very proud of all your restorations. I enjoy watching your farm work and all your videos.
The redone tractors sure are beautiful. It makes the undone tractors stand out.....not pushing you Pete but saw that twinkle in your eye. That activity is starting up and your enthusiasm is getting me excited for the year beginning soon for farming. You make it fun and I appreciate the hard work everyday you perform. The egg prices info warmed my heart. You and your wife are great people. Thanks for everything Pete!
Good morning Pete and Hillary. Once again ‘Just a Few Acres Farm’ has made my day. Never knew how much I loved tractors until viewing your videos. Looking forward to your next restoration. Hope you guys have a great week! The jokes? :-)
Always love your videos. I am impressed by how fast you can turn the temp from Fahrenheit to Celsius and even Kelvin... Lol but the video didn't seem complete. Where was Patty at calling for the complaint department. Have a great day Pete and keep the awesome videos coming
The 756 rebuild will be interesting on it's own. Not so familiar with hydrostatic transmissions but this is one way to learn it from watching Pete's video.
Boy that white snow really makes that red paint really stand out nice restoration on the super c the and the MD I like the way you parked them by the red barn makes a nice picture
I’ve been watching Pete’s channel for a couple of years now and one of the things I like about Few Acres Farm is that Pete and Hillary TRULY work as a team. So many channels on UA-cam purportedly show “husbands and wives” supposedly working together on a project, but what you end up watching is 15 minutes of two people taking cheap shots at each other. Good core values never go out of style.
Love your videos so much. Never gets old. It's always a treat day when I see you post a new video. I always stop what I'm doing and click on you. You're the best there is on UA-cam.
I love you guys. I ty for the laughter of your joke's. Lol Your a very smart man, and Hillary is smarter for marrying you. Smiling. You both are so blessed 🙌 and your families 👪 ❤️. Stay warm
One of the things I like so much about your channel is the optimism for what ever is coming next. You and Hillary rule Pete. God Bless you and your family. I want you to know that I share your jokes and riddles with my grandkids.
That view from the seat of the 756 reminds of being a little kid riding on the neighbors brand new 1066 in the early 70s. The 1066 took over from his 706 as the big horse on the farm. It went straight from the delivery truck to pulling a new 5 bottom plow about an hour later. I got to ride on the fender that day and boy did it sound good. The Mrs neighbor couldn't believe he was going to take it straight from the truck to getting it dirty. He had work to do - ok, he wanted to play with it.
I would love a series of ASMR videos of the animals. Just put a camera in the pasture for an hour. Excellent viewing while I'm stuck in an office doing paperwork.
When I seen you look up at the sky, I thought to myself...DAD JOKE IS COMING!!!! And it was a good one!! Also, whenever I have to replace a muffler clamp on one of my pumps (Wilden), I use a needlenose vise grip. Works like a charm. Especially on the C-clamps. And it was so good to see Ms. Hillary
The pigs just continue to grow and getting tamer too. Enjoyed your tractor shuffle and keep it up with the jokes. I like them and pass them on to my brother who has always told them to me. Also felt Hillary's joy when the tractor fit, which I wasn't too sure of. My husband has no ability to judge height or depth by eye and I've always found it satisfying to find that something fits when I said would fit and he thought not. Been married a hair over 44 years now and still going. Thanks for the video and take care.
Thank you for sharing and what your doing in your neck of the woods. I am appreciative of what your spouse and you are doing. And the rebuilding of older tractors 🚜 awesomeness..
Please do video of 756 Restoration. That tractor would look amazing fully redone. Can't wait for the video. I love your rebuild videos. Then again I love all your videos. I love the way you live, the way you think, and just the way you are.
Thanks for the inspiration Pete. I acquired my great grandpas Farmall 100 recently. Went through it with a full service and got it running for the first time in about 15 years. She’s ready to work our garden and I’m excited to use a piece of family history! We also have my other grandpas 100 and my other great grandpas super A with the exhaust lift! Thanks for the videos and have a great day!
Excited to watch your spring and summer busy life videos. We have chickens as a hobby, my wife loves them and we sell our eggs to her coworkers for $3 a dozen. It pays for feed, but shes getting more orders than we can fill right now. We keep the price the same so we keep our customers happy and coming back but it's not an income source like yours, it's just fun for her. Have a great day.
Last summer, I would listen to you mow hay as I trove to work. The most relaxing part of my day. Looking forward to another summer on the farm with you and Hilary. ☀️
Thanks Pete for all of your videos. Please keep putting them out. I think it's great when you include Hillary. She reminds me of my wife ,she is by my side in our little farm here. We only have 8 cows now but breeding some this summer .summer. thanks again and it's great to know that all is well.
Great collection of old International Farmalls. My uncle bought an 806 brand new and it was a BEAST! When he bought it, it was the biggest tractor in the entire county. Your videos are always enjoyable.
You must have thick skin to read the comments, I imagine. Between the people that just want to "help" and the haters, must be tough to read them. Maybe you're better off just not - just post and ignore the comments? Love your channel, thanks for all the entertainment and wisdom.
I am a retired farmer from Norway who love yuor videos! When I was yong I wanted this tracktor with narrow front wheels. And it's still my dream. However I had Zetor abd Dutch. It is so good seeing you beeing nice with your animals! I had names on all my animals. And when sending them to the butcher, I always cried, but not loud. but dripping eyes, and rusty voyse! Very nice/good videos! My channel is about everything. Even some old farm video and showing how it¨s like here in Norway. And to have something to do when waiting for the coffin.😊
Taking your IH 756 into the shed by taking off the muffler and ducking down to get in reminded me of what I once did . I had moved a house on to a flat piece of land and wanted to raise it about 4 ft. and then put a basement under it. I had a front end loader on a Massey the same size as your 756. It was not running on all cylinders. and was popping and snorting. I had removed the muffler and had to duck as I took loads out from the smoke filled underside of the house. My theme is if there is a will there's a way.
Pete, you're an absolute gem of an individual, and am forever thankful I searched "how to make hay" and unknowingly discovered a wealth of small farm knowledge backed with a great attitude. Thank you!
Add a shop on to the pig barn you’re planning to build. My 2cents 🤔. I thought you said something about a pig barn awhile back. Getting ready for summer is exciting! Seeing things grow and bloom, watching the cattle kick up their heals. Wonderful days ahead!
That was quite a squeeze play Pete! ‘like fitting a semi into a matchbox” 😅 Hillary’s reaction was priceless. Isn’t it amazing that it is the little victories in life that sometimes give us a feeling of great accomplishments. Have a blessed day and a great rest of your week.
LOL! We felt the same way when we put our new (actually used) Meerkat travel trailer into our single car garage for the first time. BTW, we bought her from a super nice guy up your way in Watkins Glen :)
Pete I have to give you a chuckle for a change. When I first glanced at that image of you on that tractor and it partially in the barn I thought oh no what happened that he wrecked into that barn like that. Then laughed at myself when I looked carefully realized you were just putting in the bag to work on. But kudos to you and Hillary for actually getting that beast in there without having to take the seat off. I always enjoy your videos and dad jokes and your take on life well one more thing too is your interactions with your wife as her tone and facial expressions to your comments can be priceless.😁
There should be more farmers like you Pete, you are a wonderful human being.
Thank you.
Hillary to🌹👍
Except when he thinks it's funny to make fun of celcius.
@@25Soupy I agree!
This is how most farmers started

It's nice to hear the birds singing when you first go into the barn in the morning. Another sign of approaching of Spring!
Great video Pete!!! That’s a lot of Celsius!!! 🤪
Always happy to see a new video up!
Your celsius and kelvin conversions crack me up EVERY. TIME. 🍁
Typical American attitude towards SI...bluff your way throught it. Pete, when you want to retire you can go into politics.
I'm so impressed by your values. You're good man.
The 756 restore will be an awesome series! It sure will be interesting doing it in that little shop. Nice to have the occasional bad Dad joke back in the videos. 😊😊😊

Already can’t wait to see the re-storing start on her!!!
Hi Pete and Hillary, stronger then you think! HOT 54° , guess a lot more CCs lol 😂 unusual in NE rural Ohio! Aways great videos!
Thanks for your post. I always enjoy your channel. I find that you are a calming, logical voice in a world that seems to get crazier every day. Keep up the good work..
Yes!!! Another tractor in the shop to be worked on! I thought I would have to wait till fall to learn more about tractors.
Well Good Morning, to you and Hillary and all of your viewer's. Good morning All!!!

You and Hillary are quite the team Great video
Good morning. Another wonderful video Pete and Hillary. Keep the great content coming.
I usually send the Dad jokes to my daughter. She just groans, but I know she loves to hear them! Thanks Pete! 🙄
Tn
Good morning, Pete! I love the channel :)
Pete, enjoy the looks of a early spring. Your thinking is spot on regarding treating your customers.
Once again, a great video. You and Hillary are a dynamic duo on the farm. Enjoy the jokes and have been sharing them in the workplace. Best wishes and be safe.
Man that paintjob on the super C is awesome! looks so great in HD !!!!
Good Morning!

I loved to see the pigs all snuggled together and how they are becoming less and less afraid of Pete.
I LOVE your Dad jokes!! LOL!! Makes me smile every time!!
Great video Pete - have a great week and we'll see you soon!
A man and his wonderful old machines.
Great video, I didn’t think that 756 was going to fit in your shop. Have a great day!
I'm sure you know how blessed you are to have Hillary, but you are so blessed to have a partner that believes in you and what you're about.
Thank you for teaching me the word, "plethora". It means a lot!
I sure didn't think you would get that tractor in that garage. Another sign of your homestead teamwork.
I love watching everything you do! Doesn't matter what. Keep up the great work buddy
Everyone keep watching, subscribing, let's help Pete get his larger shop.
I changed my MCV and kit. Pump was 450 bucks at the time. Definitely saved me money in the long run on HyTran lol
A good day on the farm!! 🙂
Great philosophy regarding how you treat your customers.
I’ve been watching Pete’s channel for a couple of years now and one of the things I like about Few Acres Farm is that Pete and Hillary TRULY work as a team. That 756 is such a great farm tractor. Just a complete beast of a workhorse. No wonder they’re still in use all over the place!
Thanks Pete and Hillary! Prayers for health and safety!🙏❤🙏

Of all the people who I think deserves a bigger shop it's you Pete. I've got an old quonset hut I'd donate to you from WW2.
Not raising the price of your eggs show that you are a man of the utmost best character!
The pigs just continue to grow and getting tamer too. Enjoyed your tractor shuffle and keep it up with the jokes. I like them and pass them on to my brother who has always told them to me. That 756 sounds pretty darn good Pete! your videos are my lunch break favorites!
Pete's videos are better than anything on TV or netflix

Hello Peter & Hilarie. Always a pleasure. The trackers look good, the pigs are getting heavier and the hens doing their work well. Be well and safe! 🥰
Thank you for taking the time to share Pete, I really appreciate your videos!
Hi Pete love your sense of humor, and your jokes jijiji. Such a happy farmer, have a great day you and your wife.
Another fun video, we are smiling in Montana , thank you Hillary & Pete
Great video Pete and I finished your book a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoy your videos! Great work!
Good Video thank ‘s for sharing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love to see the 756 restored, another great video
That was quite a squeeze play Pete! ‘like fitting a semi into a matchbox” 😅
Hillary’s reaction was priceless. Isn’t it amazing that it is the little victories in life that sometimes give us a feeling of great accomplishments. Have a blessed day and a great rest of your week.
I use a handyman Jack putting in an angle on a tire lug to push tractors in a situation like that
LOL! We felt the same way when we put our new (actually used) Meerkat travel trailer into our single car garage for the first time. BTW, we bought her from a super nice guy up your way in Watkins Glen :)
Customer relations you are right on that, people always remember when they are treated right
We all know ever project justifies a new tool. I think the full 756 restoration could justify a bigger shop. 🙂
A great vid Pete . Lets look forward to Spring time and enjoy your outdoor chores.
Thanks Pete. Enjoy tomorrow:)
I'm a little xcited about the 756 work. I have a 656 that is going to need some TLC, and it will be nice to see something very similar taken apart.
