  • Going from two incomes to one is hard. Inflation doesn’t make grocery shopping or meal planning any easier, but it can be done. You can plan effectively with a little discipline and creativity. Are you thinking about staying home or are you struggling financially? Maybe you just want to save money on groceries?
This video is a little peek into how my small family budgets and plans for meals monthly. It’s hard work but I believe it has helped us keep a budget we can manage and get the bills paid. I won’t say it’s perfect, but I hope it inspires you if you’re in a similar situation.
I have 3 blog posts on my website that go more into detail on how I actually make this happen. Link here: pigmentscript....

Hope you are having a blessed day. Don't give up. Keep going. It will get easier once things become more automatic for you. You'll figure out short cuts that work for you. As a mom of 4, I did 1 a month shopping (usually in 1 day🥴). I also tried really hard to have at least 1 cooking day a month too. I did some meals that I froze but mostly I cooked or prepped ingredients to make things much easier when it was time to make meals. If you are able to when you see really good sales, buy it to be stocked up. You'll already have it on hand and won't have to get it next month. My husband is a stay at home dad. It was/is a struggle for 1 income but you do find out what's really important and what you can do without. Going back yo basics & simpler things has been a Godsend for us.

I totally agree. I worked 5 jobs to keep my children.
I can state no neighbours or taxpayers fed or clothed my children. Being a single parent is hard. It's worth it, though. My kids always say, "My mum is no sponger. Good luck to you.

Great video. You are doing so good. When I was a stay home mom we always ate whatever was on sale or reduced. I would take it home and find a recipe that fit what we had. Also with large packs of meat I would divide and then freeze.

Good morning Rosa ♥ You are so correct on the inflation. I don't know how a lot of people are doing it. I have always kept a large pantry. I think it started when the couponing craze started. But it is a good thing because when covid came and things were scarce we were fine.
If you ask around you may be able to get some food grade buckets at your local grocery in the bakery or deli for free. You can use these to store bulk dry goods then you can cut costs. Otherwise if you have a Walmart nearby they run around $5 to $6 for the bucket and lid. Free is better. Just make sure if used it is food grade and from a food product.
Do you save your kitchen scraps from your fruits veggies and egg shells to make a compost? When its done you can mix it with your soil and plants love it! Our dirt has lots of roots, pebbles and sand in it. Slowly we have been sifting it and then mixing it with a little potting soil to make it better. It is a slow process.
Thank you for sharing. Stay blessed!

I just found you. Love your message of faith and strength. I live in central Texas and there are so few markdowns around here. We have Walmart and HEB and three dollar stores. I am a retired mom of three. One thing that helped me years ago was following The Tightwad Gazette. Great ideas and recipe stretchers. I garden a little. Hope to do more. Love your music. Thanks for your channel.

Young lady, I truly love your stance for Jesus Christ, for there are so many UA-camrs who get a few subscribers and pretend as if God never existed. I love your Bible reading. I love your scripture quotes, and I love your encouragement. If you keep putting Jesus Christ first, you will watch your channel grow from a few hundred subscribers to a few hundred thousand subscribers, and if you continue on from there, keeping Jesus first, then you will go from a few hundred thousand subscribers to a few million subscribers. The key is keeping Jesus first. So, I will go ahead and put in my ballot to help you on your way. In other words, you just earned yourself a new subscriber. God bless you, and may you and your family be in good health. By the way, you are a brilliant mother. God bless.
