  • Amanda Bynes was reportedly placed on a psychiatric hold after she was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles naked. This is the result of forcing children into acting. My heart absolutely breaks for her and the many other child stars that have gone through similar things.

    I actually have a lot of hope for her because she recognised and had self awareness she was coming out of a psychotic episode rather than denying it which is what MANY mentally ill people do. She called for help, she didn’t run, didn’t go looking for drugs or go into hiding or let herself go do anything else. She sought help which means she genuinely does want to get better. She understood something went wrong and now she had to work on herself to get better - it means she cares enough to try.

      @@IrtizaNadeem-jt8cn yes, after her very public breakdown, she went into sort of a very quiet life. I think she studied fashion design, and did a couple of small interviews on mental health (nothing that was very “look at me”). She seems to be one of the rare ones who wants to be better and understands she can be. I think she really DID need to be taken from the celeb world and into a normal life where she could find herself. The fact that ten years went by and we didn’t hear much seems to indicate she must have at least been doing somewhat better. Don’t know what’s triggered her but clearly she recognises it and wants to try to get back on track. She doesn’t seem to be seeking attention or sympathy. I think if it hadn’t been for that face tattoo, she might have not been recognised and this might have gone under the radar.

      It doesn’t MEAN anything. People with psychosis don’t WANT to be ill. They can’t help it. They all want help but it’s not that simple sometimes. Amanda is lucky enough that she recognized something was not right and called for help. A lot of mentally ill people don’t know because they are that far gone but it doesn’t mean they don’t want or NEED help. Don’t give up on all those who are mentally ill even if it doesn’t “look” like they want help.

    Amanda Bynes has always hit me really hard. I never quite understood why she would have so many mental problems when she was so good at what she did. But Candace after you broke it down and explained it, your way it makes a lot of sense. This lovely child was so good in her comedic timing with a bright personality when she was very young, but like you said having to repeat these types of scenarios with so many different character switches, potentially lead to her developing mental health issues as she got older. 100% accurate regarding the mental confusion and dysfunction that occurs when young children adapt a different personality and play that part. If that’s the case it *can* also happen in non professional drama (school, extra curricular activities) but it depends on the situation. I think taking drama classes can actually be beneficial if don’t correctly. In Amanda’s case she was doing this every day, for years, with severe pressure and trauma put under her. That makes a big difference compared to a well adjusted child from a good family taking part in one or two plays during middle school/high school.

Finally I told her that if she was picturing herself in anything other than a Hallmark movie as a normal, respectful child, she could put that idea away until she was older. @@ekg891 Miley and I have actually a lot in common. We come off as incredibly mature in interviews and in conversation. We amaze people with our talent, and intellect, which has come from deep study and perseverance, but at the end of the day we still have struggles. Just because we have incredibly deep and powerful thoughts doesn't mean we don't suffer or hurt when we go home. Having that amazing intellect often causes us to over think things and fight to mature, never feeling satisfied. She has to put in so much into being as amazingly deep as she is in order to come to terms with herself. Feeling satisfied with who we are is a struggle and a fight. I would recommend watching and listening to her and then pause and ask yourself is she truly happy? Not mature, not crazy, not amazing, but happy. Honestly that is what really makes her amazing is that she can pull herself together and still shine

So then after that hour he can be a much better Father & Husband vdj f mentally refreshed. & Then I also believe the Mother should the also get that 30 mins to hour to herself as well. I see so many women who are stressed out & the minute the Man walks in the door the Woman is trying to hand off the kids & I get it if she's been home all day w children she's mentally & emotionally drained - but by allowing the Man to get that needed time first personally I think ends up being ideal for the entire family ❤

    This assignment an interesting take Candace. I performed in musicals in high school and college and have been singing all my life, even still now at 43. The difference is that I had a firm foundation in my home and parents that pit a stop to things when it got tough. Another area in which these child actors struggle as well is with the sexual immortality and abuse inflicted upon them by deviant adults. I see this most of all in a lot of these tell all books. I think some of the actors actresses that have been dealing with mental health issues may have had that issue as well and may have not yet come to terms with that reality. I wouldn’t allow my children to be child actors however blaming it on that is too easy and saying no drama class is absurd. She’s severely mentally ill and it wasn’t caused by singing and dancing in my opinion. She was playing very silly and comedic roles as far as I’m aware she never played a character with any seriousness or depth that was mentally ill like Hannibal Lector and terrifying. She’s no Anthony Hopkins. In my opinion her issues are both nurture and nature. I think she was born with an illness and a that combined with the consequences of the realities of what was happening to her behind the scenes, her real childhood, abuse I believe she was subjected to, and what happens to a young persons mind when confronted with all that comes along with celebrity and fame. Especially on one with an underlying severe mental illness that wasn’t yet fully present and obviously undiagnosed. It seems obvious she was abused to what extent I have no idea. Not to mention that peace and love cure all plant that everyone seems to think is pure innocent magic (not sure I can say it on UA-cam) is known scientifically and factually to trigger mental illness and psychotic episodes to start appearing in young people. If memory serves me correctly Miss Bynes did copious amounts of the so called innocent fun party plant when her troubles became obvious to the world. Not that it causes it but it seems to help it become known and spur on what’s already there. I do feel bad for her. For the abuse I believe she endured and the struggles she faces now. The young lady she was will never return. She’s forever altered. It’s very sad to see. It didn’t happen from playing silly pretend though.

    To be fair, Candace’s ‘Amanda Bynes and child acting theory’ makes sense. She’s definitely got a point, since most of the child celebrities I’ve ever known has had a rough life full of troubles and abuses as they grew into their adulthood. Macaulay Culkin, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Drake Bell, just to name a few. Her theory is completely logical. Childhood fame might look fun and something that each and every person would definitely want at least once in their lifetime. But given all these examples, many including myself, thank God that we never had it.

  • @megalopolis2015
    @megalopolis2015 Рік тому +1

    Your point might be valid to an extent, but I think that child actors face way more dangerous situations, such as many adult predators, insane and demanding work environments that requires grown up decisions for minds too young to comprehend, parents that all too often take advantage of their little stars, and lines that sound far more like adults than children. There is also the very real risk of superiority/inferiority complex seeping in. I remember acting as a kid. I Loved doing it so much. I got such a rush from memorizing my lines (and everyone else's, too), hitting my marks, and conveying the right tone to an audience. It brought me out of my shell and really gave me a healthy sense of self-worth that nothing else did at that time. With the right supervision and care, child actors can thrive. The only trouble is, most child actors do not have that security that adults are supposed to provide. I am praying for Amanda.

She needed that time to decompress and change out of her germy work/school clothes from being in an elementary school classroom all day dealing with those children. I wasn't allowed to speak to her or bother her for just these 10 minutes and she'd be fine. Bombarding people like that with your own problems can be overwhelming.
