I literally just walked in with my tarahumara and saw a can had busted in my pack. It left a 3'' slightly damp spot on my upholstery. I tipped the bag and drained it. Everything looks brand new. Best packs
I love my kit bag. I wear mine every afternoon when I am tending to my horse in the pasture. For me, It is much more handy and less cumbersome than a backpack.
Thanks for sharing! My gloves have a cord loop on each so I can hang them externally on a carabiner. Allows them to dry if needed and I can use the internal space of the kit bag for other gear.
I'll often hang them from a grimloc as well. It just started warming up in the high country. The colder weather gloves I use do not have loops on them unfortunately, so I stuff them in the Kit Bag or jacket pocket. These gloves did have loops so I'll probably get back into that practice now that it's warm enough.
@@kevinmcdowell3446 If I worked at HPG I would haul in all my "loopless" gloves and get someone talented at HPG to sew in some paracord or flat Taslan loops :-)
@@irondragon7992 medical gear is in my pack. I have a trauma kit as well as a cuts, scrapes, and medications kit. You can't carry everything in the Kit Bag so you have to pick and choose and why we made these videos. I choose to carry things I want quick access to and a few items for survival. Some people dedicate their Kit Bags as pure medical bags. If I was a range safety officer I would set mine up more for that purpose. Mine is for hiking and backpacking.

I'm sure folks have, but we recommend the Runner's Kit Bag (a thinner model) for that purpose. Thousands of miles have been run with the Runner's, Snubby, and Recon Kit Bags.

Great video and always like to see another load out....Lesson Learned: I can make better use of the outside pocket!! Thanks guys!
Absolutely love the heavy recon! It is my outdoor companion.

I couldn't give this video a thumbs-up fast enough! I love kit bag dumps!
The water filter straw is a good idea. Going to incorporate that
Good stuff Kevin. Love seeing the Longhouse series growing.
I friggin LOVE my HPG chest rig!! One of my favorite pieces of kit I own. Don’t buy the knock offs. Spend the extra for the real deal.

Very cool stuff
Nice video Kevin 👍🏼
So what size kitbag would be good for a P10C and an extra mag? The Full one?
great video man new sub here
Great breakdown Kevin. I like that small uber light. Where did Ken get that size? I've only seen it in the bigger can.

where can i get that Marino beany in camo like that? Thank you!
Hey they are available on a hunting gear website called Kuiu!
That bag needs to have laser cut molle on the front panel, incorporating both horizontal and the angular molle in the same position.
Does carrying a compass next to the knife influence its accuracy?
You have to be sure not to USE the compass next to the knife, but storing it there doesn't demagnetize it or anything.
@@HillPeopleGear thanks for the reply! Good to know
I've carried my knife next to my compass for years. And I can say no, my knife cuts as straight as ever.
Thanks Kevin. I’m always trying to adjust my kit bag. I do think you need one more means of starting a fire :)

Good on your for not muzzling yourself.
Would be nice to see if you had a dedicated side zipper pocket to pull the pistol out from the side not the top. No one makes one.
Ours is full wrap -- you pull the entire corner down so both top and side are open. With a little practice, sub 2s draw to hit is possible.
