@@Forest_velo How is the framing compared to using the upper bolts? Can you see a difference? I just bought an X3 and the new computer mount so I'm working out how I want to set it up.
@@Forest_velo Awesome, I thought it would sit better in the lower position and I'm glad to hear it doesn't affect the image too much. Ill set it up that way for my first ride. Cheers!
Thanks for the detailed walkthrough! Do you happen to know the max PCD of the mount? My Merida comes w a 40mm PCD which I understand is wider than usual
Very interesting. Just a quick question if I may. What it the bolt spacing of your stem plate bolts? On one of my bikes the spacing of the stem plate bolts is quite wide (38mm) and I have had difficulty in finding some out front mounts that fit.
Hi… it would be tight I think. I think it would come just to the edge of the bottom two buttons on the camera. So depending how agile you are or how thin your fingers you might be ok!
Thanks for walking through the bike mount installation process.
No problem 👍
it's a great mount; very sturdy; you can also mount on the lower bolts if you desire.
I’ve now changed to the lower bolts 👍

@ElrocStone not much different. Maybe it’s fractionally better as it’s a little further away from the rider?! Computer fits much more in line though!

Hi! My bike stem bolts are approx 4cm apart and it fits fine. Minimum is just over 2cm.
You broke 5K viewers. Congrats 🎉
Grace & Peace
Thanks! It’s taken a while 😃
my ocd is setting off at the residue buildup between your stem and bars
😄 I’ll get on to that tomorrow… maybe 🤔

Hi
Mine seem to be 40mm or maybe 38 too. Fits ok but they are the maximum spacing.
@@Forest_velo brilliant, thank you.
How sturdy or strong would you say it is? It look like it will break off on bumpy roads.
Hi! I’ve been using it for a couple of months over pretty rough roads here and it’s held up well. No signs of it giving out. Seems pretty solid!
@@Forest_velo Ah, sounds good. Thank you for the information. And the video too, really helpful.
Would a large cycling computer such as a Garmin 1040 block the camera controls?
I’m not 100% sure but I think they’d be ok
If you send me dimensions I’ll try to check
@@Forest_velo Thanks! the unit is 11.4 cm long and the mount is centered 5.25 cm from the bottom.

@@Forest_velo Thanks!!
Do you have the link to the mount you are using? the ones from the link below dont work on my handle bars. Thanks
Which handle bars have you got?
This is for either bar setup
store.insta360.com/product/bike-computer-mount?INRK69J
If you scroll down you can pick a mounting style
@@Forest_velo have the Tarmac SL8 and a flat aero bars.
Nice… that link should work for those bars then
Donde lo compro cuál es el precio
If you look in the description of the video you’ll see all the links to the products 😃
I think it should be mount under not on the top so that you can have more views on your handlebar
Either is good but I prefer not to see the handlebar… it shakes too much! 😃
Can I have your old one please?
🤣
