This special has now become my new favourite Thomas film. Almost everything about it was just amazing, especially James being painted black, the classic music and songs recreated, the scene where TFC nearly falls over, the recreations of the classic scenes, the runaway scene, the crash and Judy and Jerome.
Trevor Davis Check out The Adventure Continues. It's a fanmade sequel to Thomas and Friends: The Adventure Begins. It's amazing. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/7udXsu1DBzg/v-deo.html
The Adventure begins is one of the best Thomas films I've seen, until i've seen SLOTLT, btw Sodor Island Forums hinted on Twitter that if the dvd sells go well then a follow up is possible in other words a sequel

I love The Adventure Begins too. My favourite special! Also, yeah, I have noticed about Henry's old shape and Tidmouth Sheds. Well, according to people I met...talked to on the wiki, it was possibly because of budget, so...I won't mind it too much.
In The Adventure Begins I also wish they could have had Henry painted blue, because remember back in the railway series between the final part of The Three Railway Engines to Troublesome engines. Henry was in his blue coat of paint at the time, it would have been nice to see that in The Adventure Begins.
The Adventure Begins was an awesome way to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Railway Series! The new characters were really great. Mark Moraghan did a great job as the narrator as he always does and John Hasler started off really good as the voice of Thomas. The CGI in this film was superb and a major improvement over the two Brenner movies. And the re-composed songs were awesome. I especially loved the re-composed version of Really Useful Engine. But, the only things that I wasn't keen on Henry being in his new shape instead of his old shape and Tidmouth Sheds having seven berths instead of six berths. But, aside from that, this film was awesome. The re-composed music was great, the CGI adaptations combined into one 44 minute story was great and the bit where James crashes into the field was absolutely sick and epic at the same time.
That was a fantastic review. I loved the Special as well. It really had loads of references to Series 1 and some clips from the original TV Series and the first 2 Railway Series book. This is a wonderful Special and it has lots of heartfelt moments in it. It makes me feel glad that they made this show with the models in the first place. Plus John Hasler did a fantastic job on taking the role of Thomas the Tank Engine here. Ben Small's departure was sad to hear and take, but we know he did an incredible job on Thomas. Now I hope John Hasler can continue the role with success :).
This was an awesome special there are four things that always bug me 1 why the hell is James number 5 that is just lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol couldn't they show him what the LMS on his tender and my other nitpick Thomas looks like an E2 tank engine but they were supposed to be Brown they were not green they were Brown and why is Thomas number 70 he is supposed to be number 101 also why the hell is there 7 sheds back then there were supposed to be six sheds my Maine nitpick is Henry in his new shape Henry is supposed to be in his old shape show they f***** that up and my last nitpick is Thomas is not supposed to chase after James before the crash scene it was just supposed to be James
They should also make a movie called Thomas's early years where we get to see Thomas as his life as an E2 tank engine too bad we never got to see Judy and Jerome in the model series and the only released Jerome in TrackMaster like what the hell you never released Judy the cane
I like the lifelis cranes back in the model series I don't even want to use Judy and Jerome Judy Jerome aren't even awdry characters to begin with so I like the old breakdown train better
The Reverend w awdry helped Christopher his son when he was sick with the measles and when the Reverend w awdry retired from writing books Christopher awdry decided to help him he helped him when he was sick so he took over for his retired Father when you help someone someone will help you in return
I am glad you enjoyed it, but the same cannot be said for me. The Adventure Begins was not that good in my opinion. It was an unnecessary remake of 7 episodes that were already awesome. And the way they screwed up Gordon and Henry's backstories pissed me off a lot. Especially when Thomas repeated the whistle prank in the end, proving that he learned nothing from his near death experience. Way to go, Brenner, you ruined my favorite Season 1 episode. The Breakdown Train is still just The Breakdown Train to me. As for Glynn, he looks and sounds ugly if you ask me, and quite pointless as well. And if the only reason this special exists was to shoehorn him into the show, you could've easily scrapped this entire thing. Sorry, but that's what I legitimately think of TAB. It ties with Blue Mountain Mystery on my list, so it's not as bad as Misty Island Rescue, or The Great Race, or Calling All Engines.
@@chriswood-nostalgic8900 Who said anything about Thomas getting killed? Because I never did! Did you think "getting killed" is what I meant by "Near death experience", because that's not true. He was just drained at the end of the run. He could hardly breathe or move, which qualifies as a Near-death experience.
@@xandardorf6365 welp looks like I am not alone. This is easily the most overrated Thomas anything! It ranks as the third worst for me. It has 5 glaring flaws for me: 1) Henry. God I hate His wimpy character and His shape is a minor nitpick. 2) I hate the troublesome truck song. It sounds boring and bland, unlike the original. 3) Sir Topham Hatt was a complete ass to both Edward and Henry. 4) It feels pointless to watch because season 1. 5) Glynn, one word: *Pointless*. His trackmaster toy is even worse.

This is one of the best specials of all time. I give it a 10/10 stars. I hope they release a follow-up to it next year in 2016!
