everytime they sit together on the bench at the town I point and go ‘lesbains!!!!’ also they have REALLY good chemistry together or whatever. Penny is so shy and sweet, Maru is confident and a Girlboss inventor. Together they make a GREAT wholesome couple. I love them. (also they both have JUST a bit of parental issues, but on the opposite spectrum. Pam doesn’t care for Penny, Demetrius cares TOO much and is way too overbearing on Maru.)

Two intelligent women with different expertise but enough brainpower to keep up with each other. They'd be really happy and successful together.

I really want there to be mods for stardew where you can play match maker in a way, and have it actually work out and effect everyday life. This should also go that you can break people up afterwards if you wanted.
instead of getting a cutscene where everyone finds out you were dating every single one of them they find out through some really weird way that they're all somehow dating each other and never realized I have no idea how it could get to that point but I'm sure someone could figure it out
I've seen other folks mention this, like it was kind of sad that the townsfolk didn't resolve their relationships with each other. I remember someone specifically said that rival hearts are only so good when you have different headcanons and so on. Still wondering how I could make a highly configurable mod for this that makes that work, in addition to stuff like Rival Hearts and Free Love, or with some of their features replicated... All this to say, I and probably several other folks are working on solutions.
It feels weird watching this mod, because I'm happily married to Harvey. And I always assumed that Harvey and maru have this awkward relationship where Harvey tries to be a cool boss, but is too awkward/nervous to be one. and maru simply appreciates his effort. I never thought that anyone could interpret their relationship to be anything more, than an awkward somewhat friendship.
Harvey's just autistic (In my eyes, at least), mans just wants to show his appreciation for Maru's help, but doesn't understand how his actions may come across, and since Maru works with Harvey, she understands that Harvey is just trying to be friendly and a good boss, and all his actions come from a place of platonic appreciation

Someone did say that if Stardew was ever done in a show or movie type format (which CA only said he'd only do if Studio Ghibli would make it), it'd make the most sense for the farmer to just be cupid and ship all the towns people with eachother instead of dating one of them.
