I would not use any cloud myq products anymore. They have shut their API off to the public and have disrupted the Home Automation community and they do not care. As soon as it went down, I ripped out the device you just installed and threw it in the trash!

Sure, that’s certainly a detriment. But if someone just wants the convenience of the device without the broader use of a home automation setup, this certainly works. I do get your point, though.
