American world champion Noah Lyles ran a personal best of 9.81 seconds in the 100 meters Saturday in the final Diamond League meeting before the Paris Olympics.
Lyles, one of the biggest names in the sport at the moment, delivered in the final race of the day, clipping two hundredths off his best time in front of a sellout crowd of 60,000, easily the largest on the Diamond League circuit.
South African Akani Simbine took second in 9.86 while Letsile Tebogo of Botswana was third in 9.88 as the first five broke 10 seconds.
Seville was jogging at the finish. Noah full speed.
U are right Seville slow down
Was Oblique in the race? If so, which lane?
I wish people would stop putting pressure on Kishane Thompson. The best man will win at the Olympics.
True
So happens that I believe the best man will either be Kishane or Oblique.
KISHANE DOOES NOT SUFFER FROM.LOW SELF ESTEEM AND DROWNING IN SELF DOUBT THATS WHAT THE POOR DO KISHANE IS A WINNER
But if he doesn't medal you people will start cursing him out as you do Merlene Ottey and now Yohan Blake. Smh.@@divinee.155
@@candiddeclarations7364 Kishane looks like he is not stressed or pressured.
He just needs to mange the rounds gets out of the blocks ahead of Noah and shut it down after he crosses the line 😀
Lyle 9.81 is still not enough this was a ONE round race.THOMPSON did his 9.77 not at full speed doing the rounds. Let them give the favourite tag to Lyle. KISHANE is still the one to beat at PARIS.
Hope u don't get disappointed n start insulting him
he ran straight to the line
True Seville slow down
Very hard & this is a one round race.
What ws hé uppsed to do
NOAH IS RUNNING FULL STRENGTH !!!! BUT KISHANE has been told to shut it down early and still run 9.77 seconds
Doesn't mean nothing pretty sure omenyala ran under 9.8 and still lost to lyles and Noah lyles was In a head Wind and I'm pretty sure noah can go even faster
Kishane is still a mystery, noah making sure he is not forgotten.
I like Noah tho he talks but I think he’s just making the sport fun to watch don’t shoot me lol 😂 I kinda hope he wins lol
U are not a Jamaican right
@@deonwitter1449 no am not lol why all Jamaicans hate him ? A lot of us not Jamaicans but we liked Usain Bolt…
@wendy4313 Because him chat to much an cocky fe no reason
@@nyawoods4343Cos he the world champion now ....I don't remember the last time a Jamaican won 100 meters in the men's race in any competitive race at the world stage since Bolt retired
@gideonkobby4730 Jamaica has been winning for the last 20 years. When was the last time U.S. won the Olympics.
Do you know what Oblique is running? I quite sure Oblique is faster than the last time he run at the trial.
I can imagine that he is keeping tabs on the competition and fine tuning.
So y u thinking of who next? Y u dont also say Thompson will push him away further
What's crazy is that noah lyles can still improove maybe he will go below 9'80 in this olymics but I see him run a 9'65 or below at some point in his carreer
Is he getting younger or older
So Kishane not improving
Bredda both Seville and Kishane is in training
Need to stop this bag a chatting
Everybody is training to become better
Noah lyles have to flat out every races
Talk about that
Kishane is walking in the park
What do you want to see Kishane go out there and run against the clock?
Because if he don't have anyone like Seville or Noah to push him
You will not get what you want to see
So please stop the analysis because you not placing thing in the right perspective
9.65? 😂😂😂
9.6.. He's not that sprinter, y'all need to stop being delusional
Five years and still haven't run below 9.8😂 He's a catch-up runner, with a horrible start, that can work for the 200m, not the 100m
nope, his form too good. little upside
He ain't getting no 9.65. The most he will go at his very best is maybe 9.78. He ain't that man. Shop the BS.
when did he beat oblique???
Oblique doesn’t have to go to the drawing board….It goes back to mindset - Noah gets in the mind of the athletes.. Hughes got on the podium last year along with
Tebogo and Oblique 4th… I am not counting this race for Tebogo and Oblique because they need to get out of the blocks and run like their lives depend on it. Oblique tends to slow down when he gets closer to the finishing line
Kishane is the man to beat
He went all out to prove a point no one else in that race is drowning in self esteem issues
He won against Seville? Are u ok?
This race didn't change anything. He didn't run effortlessly..He ran hard all the way through .this guy can't break 9.7..
True
Calling Bolt names with Lyles is very disrespectful..A guy that haven't broken 9.8..U need to do better
He still has not gone 9.7
Right
I still say Seville is going to win the Olympics 100m
Hope he gets on the podium-he deserves a medal this time
This was a slight headwind, though. Its effect on the race is being overemphasized in my view
Plus, the track is fast
@@Tjames33926 what do you mean the track is fast? Nothing faster about that track...
That time means nothing. That is not a statement run. You are running full speed, while Kishane Jogged a 9.77.
It means something. Kishane jogged 9.77.. noah ran 9.81 into a negative wind. That's a possible 9.7 low
We love kishane bt let's hope he stays healthy bcz he's injury prone.
Plus we dont know if oblique can cope with pressure in a race. Remeber he came 4th a couple of times on the big stage because of pressue even though he's better than we placed before him. Noah shows he can cope under pressure. Based on how tings playing out, only Kishane seems to can beat noah bt not oblique at this stage.
And if noah can get a good start in the race, it's game over.
The track is fast that time doesn't say nothing
The track is fast
London's track is always fast , like last year in 2023
Right
@@robertbennett9552 what's so special about thr track? Nothing...
Noah needs to be doing better than 10.8 to be sending a message, because his opponent is also progressing. If you are one year older than I, as I get older you will still be older than me because you are also aging.
Clit bait, 9.81-9.77= 0.04; that's a lifetime in a 100m race. This after taking time off to work on it. Mind you, this is a fast track; Bolt set the Olympic record 9.63 on this track in 2012, after 3 rounds of running. Lyles is nowhere near Usain Bolt. Kishane Thompson & Oblique Seville were both relax and easing down(9.77/9.82). Lyles knows the Jamaicans are not scared; he can't intimidate Oblique or Kishane.
Tell dem far from intimidating. Jamaicans nuh fraid a nuh body dem rasie in a de jungle so him casn gwaan dem no tink bot Noah believe me
Lyles ran this into a headwind. Thompson better hope he has the mind to get to the finals it’s not promised.
Why u worrying about Kishane. Yall dont see him winning over Lyles. So what is it to you about his mental state.
Shut yuh backside like lyes yuh chat to much
Seville slow down remember
Bro Kishane 9.77 was with ease / less effort., Noah's exerted all efforts tobachieve 9 81.
he literally ran max effort what are you talking bout
No 9.77 was not effortless
So, what? Noah won!
He did 9.82 at world
9.83!
Looks like Noah lyles is paying ur bills too 😂😂😂😂😂
Man, he ran all out. TUBOGO slow down and watch the race again. YOU don't see Tubogo laughing and look at Noah. WELL guess what? Imagine what Seville and Kishane are going to do at the Olympics.
Don't get ahead of yourself! Noah was a clear winner!
Did Oblique Seville actually run in this race??
No he didn't he is talking about the time
He did not race against obliques avail. You must be talking about his time. You have to remember oblique Seville Illinois shut down. He can't beat oblique even if he running running. 9.80 oblique is pushing way past that
True Seville shut down
Yes, I was talking about the PB
@@RewriteTheNarrativeisn't Seville peaking too? That's not a valid comparison. Also, we're talking about 0.01s difference, that's a 4in difference... last time they met, Seville beat Lyles convincingly. Let's see next time.
Oblique definitely was not beaking. Oblique pulled up early. As well@@Yes_I_c4n
@@Yes_I_c4nand when oblique raced Noah he had to wait for him so you can look at him. Oblique's going to be in 9.7s somewhere in the middle. He's not going to beat overly unless he takes drugs. That's the only way. If that's the case, he should be tested afterwards
Almost run 9,77 ? A no so dis ting go enuh.!
2 weeks of training made a huge different, what can we expect for the olympics.
Bro, Lyles didn’t run effortlessly. He ran hard, had to because he wants to send statement. He’s scared of those two Jamaican guys.
I dont think it was effortless, but the effort is paying off
Noah Lyles is the main man...people are so delusional to an extent of bringing retired athletes in the mix. It's very sad for them.😅😅😅
If Noah Lyle win we wont hear the end of it.
Akeem Blake ran not Seville.
The comparison was for the PBs
-0.3ms, no big deal. Still wind.
Almost never killed a black bird.
It's time 4 afrika
Calling Usain Bolt name with Noah lies is just RUDE. Have some manners.
Smile true
Even if a tiger running behind him he's not going to win gold.
I agree
Almost 9.77 is not 9.77. When dat man reach 9.77 Kishane will 2:34 2:34 be at 9.5. No competition there. While ppl keep talking, Kishane is preparing for his race. Unuh a goh get d shak a unuh life when the 100m ends!! Kishane to the flipping whurl!!!
Wat u saying don't make sense any ting can happen that day wen the greatest feel pressure it can caz them not to proform to best of there ability
Stop including Yohan Blake amongst the 'big names' currently in sprinting, he's nothing but a shadow of his former self...😫(with all due respect)
Well to be fair, Yohan Blake was in the race, and to date only Usain Bolt had a faster time than him.
Cho 9.81 Seville a nam him food.
Noah I more confident after that race, the time will motivate him.
Noah Lyles Always Blaming someone or Something.
Almost doesn’t count , 200th of a second is a big deal!
Simbine can beat lyles if he can push more
Stop calling bolt name
True
Noah needs to improve his starting speed
And he can get higher hips and bigger stride lenght , he can go sub 9'7 one day
@@rkchoka7555 LOL.
Almost every race was a pb on the track. Just easy yourself.
True
Deh all out deh weh him do only mek things worst for him at the olympics.watch.him a guh wonder wah tek him.
Put Kishane in the position Tebogo was in and tell me, honestly, of course that Noah is running down Kishane and passing him. Jokes
The biggest thing that i have seen from the USA athletes is that they don't slow down anywhere in the race.
@RewriteTheNarrative at what point do you see Kishane slowing down when he keeps doing the same thing as Noah, referencing when he was running down Coleman. Is he not better than those times?
Ok Noah run through the line, kishane ease up before the line, but good run though
I don't know these people almost what, look how far 9.77 from 9.81, oblique run 9.82 and beat Noah he wasn't out of breath ran cool like cucumber Noah fans holding off a straw😂😂😂😂😂😂.
Man like a paris 100m finals, every race kishane run you know say a nuff gas left in a di tank.
This comment section reeks of excuses damn 😂
The passion is real.
@@RewriteTheNarrative I respect it But some people sound Manic and are writing folklore 🤣😭
Stop call bolt's name cause noel can come to.bolts no time he cannot break bolt's record none of them neither 100 or the 200 people stop compare noel with bolt's because him can't come near bolts
I think they need to do a drug test on Noah. I mean they drug test us so why he can't get drug test?
Right
And remember they love to eat oxtail
So what
Almost is NEVER enough. Recall that Kishane jogged the last 10 or so meters in his 9.77. Lyles is NOTHING. Both Oblique and Kishane is going to wipe the floor with him.
Kishane might but Oblique definitely isn't
@@cadenious9569 So you are still underestimating Oblique, huh? Even after what he did to Lyles in Jamaica. Still haven't learned from that experience, huh? Well you just gonna have to go through it yet again. I love this. Ha ha haaaaaaaa!!!!
@@debonpanton3366Seville has no medals stop try make him out to be a Olympic Gold medalist or something
Definitely
@@Nubako463And a no medal Seville will still beat Lyles. Lyles is maxed out at 9.80s. Go worry about Olympic gold eluding Lyles yet again.
