It wasn’t that long ago that we were at Riverside with many other railfans seeing the action on the BNSF. The Metra trains put our camera crew to work as soon as the cameras were set up and ready to go. Last time we were here was during spring break. The weather this time around was quite warmer but we didn’t bring the shorts and slippers till later in the day when things started warming up. Nonetheless, the action kept us busy for most of the day. But things got interesting after Amtrak California Zephyr 5 and Amtrak Southwest Chief 3 came into town and then trains came every 15-20 minutes and we never found that perfect window to pack things up until dusk. Overall, it was another productive day and we believe we found the right train to be featured as the Highlight of the Day. Enjoy the busy day on the BNSF in Riverside!

37:01 was a “highlight of the day” for me too back on September 25, 2020 when I saw that Metra CB&Q 211 engine at Chicago’s Union Station!
