The Volvo estate has been as synonymous with Sweden as Ikea, but now it has fierce competition, among all electric cars and SUVs. Will there even be a new generation of big Volvo estates?
ID.4 is VW's largest and most important venture, the car that will lead their electric car offensive in Europe, China and the USA - with factories on all these continents.
We let the cars go a number of hard rounds, such as start on a slippery hill, lap time, panic avoidance on a ice street. But we also compare economy, luggage compartments, comfort, rear seat and driving pleasure.
We had a German pre-series car for five hours for the first rock-hard duel.
