- I won’t lie, about halfway through today as I was editing this, I was like...I just. Mm. As I’m typing this, it’s Thursday night and I’m kinda upset because internet is just...a weird time and there’s half of me that’s like. Okay. I wanna believe. But then the other part of me is like. No, no you don’t. Then the other part of me is cryin’ ‘cause all this led to other things and I just. I’m a little tired today.
Anyway, I am pretty damn happy with this, and like. It was something pretty spur of the moment, but I felt inspired and this was fun to make. I like doing sticky note stuff if only because I get to draw a bunch of little things and I don’t gotta focus on the details. Also, like timing? What with the Avatar Renaissance and the Ham movie dropping next week, I’m pretty stoked. I honestly didn’t plan for the timing to work as well, but then again, it may just be my phone knowing what to play, heh.
There’s kinda a floating timeline? I was thinkin’ probs right after the Ember Island Players but a few days before Sozin’s Comet just ‘cause I know Zuko starts getting more and more anxious as the days drew nearer to the comet.
So sidenote: I would recommend rewatching Avatar and just focus on the background. Like, I was watching a vid the other day and it mentioned how everything is always moving in the show, which kept it interesting (and is kinda amazing because it was a 2D animation). There’s the bit where Zuko and Iroh first arrive at Ba Sing Se and if you watch Iroh in the background, you can see him actually looking around to make sure the coast is clear. Like, that’s so good? And I love that kinda detail. It’s just. So good, and really it brings the whole world to life.

@Aiden Hartley when Toph didn’t count sokka as a bender in season 2, there is only 4 benders in the gaang so when she said 4 instead of 6 Suki and Sokka got mad lol

I am. Emotional now. I don't know what hit me more, the transition of little Zuko having Ozai's hand on his shoulder, frowning and unhappy, to teenage Zuko smiling at Iroh's hand on his shoulder, Gyatso's skeleton at "No matter what they tell you", or that smooth af "Tomorrow there'll be more of us" of Zuko and Aang standing in front of the crowd.
Sokka: I may not live to see our glory.
Me: Trust me, you won't.

When the scene changed to talking about the four of us and it was the four elements around aang, I exclaimed out loud! This is genius! I love it to pieces. It’s so well put together and I could really see their characters actually doing it. It’s just lovely!

I finished watching Hamilton and rewatched this. It makes it so much more emotional somehow. It was already emotional but now...tearing up
I saw this when it came out and got obsessed with Hamilton’s songs but after just a week I forgot all about Hamilton. Just recently a girl in my English class was talking about Hamilton and I just remembered this, the first ever Hamilton related video I’ve ever seen which got me into Hamilton.❤️❤️

Oofff, this is really cool! I love the transparency effect! Im halfway through my current rewatch of ATLA and this gets me more excited to continue watching.
Its funny cause in a lot of animated shows or movies(maybe not so much recently) you can always tell what in the background is gonna be interacted with or is supposed to capture our focus, cause anything thats deemed not important is just static and plain.
I love ATLA cause everything is so beautiful and theres so much attention to detail. Like im currently in ba sing se and zuko has his little date, i mega love how the lanterns are reflected in the fountain.

Thank you! I was kinda worried it’d make things too hard to see, but I think they added a little bit more, heh. And oh man yeah, especially in like, the Looney Tunes and even like the later Nicktoons things. You could tell they were drawn on another layer and then had those great painted backgrounds!
But right? I was honestly worried ATLA wouldn’t hold up as well as I remembered it, but it’s like. Just as good, if not better, all these years later and I just have such mad respect.
And as for things that happened last week, it’s both good and bad. I’m a lot better because I’ve talked some stuff out with friends, I’ll be a bit sad, but I’ll be okay. I appreciate you though! And right back at you man, you rock!

Thank you! I used a free program called VideoPad to edit. It can be kinda slow, but it gets the job done. ^^

Hey can I ask you what app do you use to make these?
Let's see...I had my iPhone at the time to take pictures, uploaded them to my computer, then used VideoPad to edit it all and then Krita to make the thumbnail.
Would recommend them all to start because they're free, but once you can afford/if you wanna get into more editing, would recommend a better editing program. VideoPad takes a lot of patience because it's very clunky.
