There’s a huge split amongst us Rockets fans on the direction of our team. I hope Ime and Stone resolve this sooner than later. I say pay both of them.
It's a rebuilding process. I say extend Sengun but the pot of money must be reserved for other lottery picks -- Jalen may improve this season, Jabari, Tari are coming in on their 3y. And you have Amen and Reed who are both lotteries. Cam also produced good numbers even though he's 20th.
The core group is 8 players -- Sengun, Green, Smith, Eason, Thompson, Whitmore, Sheppard and Griffin.
Jaydog missing some important points...
1) Udoka said it plenty times that they playing on a "slow pace" bc the team learning the offensive scheme and thats why Fred was always playing it slow for the team to get away from the "solo playing" habbits from the rokkie season. Sengun can play faster and better with the team but nobody was rdy balling in the whole season.
2) The winning streak starts with 2 wins where alpi was playing too before he got injured and the team was playing better WITH ALPI ... Also Udoka said there too that they pushed up the pace soo the "wining streak" would also happened when Alpi would playing
3) The winning streak goes against weak teams and just cleveland and okc without sga are the "big wins" you are talking about .. after dallas minesota we got a 5 big loosing streak so your take is WRONG

I say pay Alp but not the max... Ill use a football analogy. Alp is not what you call in football a Every down back... He is not a every scheme Center like a Joel Embidd, Jokic, AD, Wemby type of Center. Those Centers are plug and play in ANY type of offensesive scheme and is not limited in any capacity. if you need any of those Centers to play on ball they can do it or if they need to play with a great playmaker they can go off-ball as well... Alp is not there yet, maybe he get there, maybe he dont, but im not paying him max because he is not a 30 plus minute center to me.
No one deserves the max because Jalen, Jabari, Amen, and Reed are all top 4 picks. These dudes need to understand it's a team rebuild not an import-an-old- franchise-player team.

It's not about "proving" as max.. The team is on Rebuild which means there are no single old Franchise player that just got imported to this team.. It's a Rebuild. 8 players on about same age and experience. No 2 players should get max just because they got in ahead.

Just imagine if JG/AS both play lights out this yr. that will give the Rocs a chance to package their picks get a star player then.. let VF go and save 43 mil... sign another big name player..then sign both JG/AS this is what Stone is hoping to pull off.
The Alps always play lights out each season, it's the Dunkstronaut who is highly inconsistent consistently.

bro i just dont get it and im not being funny what do you rocket fans see in him. i go on alot of different nba channels and his name never comes up. the games i did watch he was benched in the 4th like a rookie. ive been watching watching basketball for 45 years and i never seen people make up more excuses as rocket fans for this guy , am i missing something ?
