A Video Short by Steve Neff of Scenes from Galesburg Yard.
In December of 1996 the Burlington Northern and the Atchinson, Topeka and Santa Fe merged into the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad.
On June 28, 2003 during the annual Railroad Days at Galesburg Illinois, a video was made of yard operations. The vantage point for the video was from the top of the highway overpass on the west side of the yard. Switching yard action is shown along with run-through trains.
You'll see switch-men lining up the track for distribution of various cars as well as cars being rolled down the hump. The video was shot from late afternoon to after dark.
You'll see various engine schemes with both pre-merger and post merger paint jobs. Car inspectors in ATV's are viewed inspecting the cars before they are made ready for travel.

Mr Frog when was this and was there a Conrail engine in there??

This was shot in 2003. Don't believe there is any Conrail in there!
