As others have said, this DVD was my childhood (got it in a pack of 24? DVDs by TOPICS). Still a great program to rewatch! And hey, there's no harm or no foul with experimenting with upscaling. Nobody'll think different of you.
Say Les... seeing as only the east side of Monmouth was featured on the segment regarding the former Burlington via to the west of Cameron, I was wondering: What are your thoughts on Monmouth in general? Little fun fact from me: My dad was born and raised in that town. :)
No way! Your dad was raised in Galesburg wow! I bet he saw the Burlington’s steam program with 4960 and the two operating 4-8-4 northerns that were still running at the time. I can’t believe we have an operating CB&Q steam locomotive in the present day and kind of wish one of the Hudsons would be restored for mainline excursion service. One out of all the surviving steamers in the US there isn’t one standard gauge 4-6-4 Hudson in operation… well except for CP 2816. Second the Hudsons are pretty well known passenger locomotives and could pull heavy passenger trains.
It was missing the intro the first time he uploaded this. Also it disappeared because of complaints about an HD up conversion of the film or something.

And not a GEVO, nor a charger in sight. Amazing video!
Sadly…eras pass my friend. I feel the same.. ( plus the Chargers in the Midwest…👍🏻🤔👎🏻
I wish GEVOS and Chargers never had to happen

Thats a shame, that acoustic intro music is badass ngl 😂@harrisonofcolorado8886
Where is.. ATSF Mainline Memories?
It deleted
32:39 where is that bridge located?
It was known as Media Trestle on the Chillicothe sub.
BNSF replaced the bridge entirely in 2017
My favorite was about 24 minutes in when that Amtrak train thundered by that grain elevator

Lately, 3751 has mainly stayed around its base in Los Angeles. I doubt that it will be heading anywhere close to you in the near future.

Dunno what year you made this, but there are 8 Amtrak trains thru Galesburg now
the upscaling was better, wish you hadn't listened to those people.
I might just put up the upscaled version and have both.
