Grimes on the song Visiting Statue: "So I was rly stressed making the album in 2 weeks and my upstairs neighbor Erik Zuuring (I love you Erik!) brought me this Egyptian statue to keep me company and help me get through it. So for "Visiting Statue", I was just like channeling the energy of this weird statue my friend left for me to keep me company. This point of the album writing process was definitely like the heart of madness hahaha. Deep in the spiral at this point.
