Wild that the IG player didnt dig in or build up their army. Had a huge economic advantage in the beginning
literally just sitting around watching their req tick up, could have had two full squads and a commissar/priest to defend that baneblade...
If ive learned one thing about playing imperial guard as my main its that NONE of your units are good by themselves. Even the baneblade is pretty squishy when not supported by other units
Was expecting a firing line of heavy weapons, with sat scans you can almost range the whole base with lascannon and auto cannon. Tau could of done the same with broadside, would of been an epic duel.
They 100% need to remake this game. It has so much potential
Frankly what it really needs, is the "Spring Engine" treatment. As in, it needs a community made engine developed just to replicate the game, built with modding in mind. It's practically how the DoW community already operates, but just without that solid yet flexible foundation to work from.
Sadly I imagine IP copyrights would probably make that impossible for the 40k franchise. Perhaps they could do some bizarre work around, like having their fully self made game check for DoW ownership in order to play it.

Remaking good games is not something game companies have been doing very well these days. The community does a much better job keeping games alive and relevant than any publisher can.
The best example of this is Supreme Commander forged Alliance, but even that is slowly dieing
The Imperial Fists-Guards team was too defensiv all time, they didn't dig into Necrons base when were close to anhilate them.
The red Marines-Tau team worked really fine, but Tau attacked Guards, splitting capacities on them unworthly.
Orks were very aggressive and focused against red Marines, but the Necrons did the win to their team giving heavy units to back the Orks melee.
This batlle was simply GREAT, specially Orks vs red Marines..
That's because the answer to all problems is more Dakka.

6:40 it's like exercise. If you stay inactive for too long and have to suddenly do strenuous physical activity, you'll be stiff and tire more easily than if you warmed up.

From 1:08:05 and for a long time really. Necrons fake monoliths are supposed to disappear themselves in 30 seconds I believe. But they often don't (they become bugged as one of the players mentioned). Mannered behavior would be to send these monoliths to the edge of the map so they don't distract people. But Necron player here did opposite abusing the bug. This is very annoying tbh.
That necron player shouldn't have won. He played super passive and turtled up while everyone else fought, bringing in his exploited army only when the other teams were weak. He didn't even build any infantry until he was sure it was safe to come out. The orc player was pretty good, but both of the players on the red team were not only amazing but also super resilient in winning multiple fights from both enemy teams attacking them at the same time. They were also on point with macro and micro in many multi front engagements, coming out on top while locking the other teams down. The win should've gone to the red team.
@@thechoseone456 The turtling was a smart move. In a free-for-all, it's better to let your enemies weaken each other. And necrons have a particularly valid case for turtling too, considering that they don't need resources from listening posts(on top of their defenses being fairly strong, and a tomb spyder can help mitigate units deaths near the base).
Fyi this bug isn’t random. The necrons themselves can make it happen. When you delete the fake mono it will stay unless you press it a second time (might only be when its about to dissapear, but either way it’s not random)
At 55:25 the IF and IG had the chance to wipe out the Necrons but didn't follow through. The landraider and baneblade were just at a distance watching. Low player IQ.

The IG Player looked like he had no idea what he was doing same for the necron player and the imperial fist. The Orc, the Red SM and the Tau players were keeping the game interesting.

Isn't it great, and sort of wild, that this 20yr RTS is more interesting than SC2? Like, I'd love it if the visuals and audio were more modern, but games are more dynamic and there's many more armies to choose from.
