What's sad about this, is the fact the professor is really playing as himself..in all his previous profession..you can just...feel the real life hurt..
As a public school music teacher, being a fry cook at Mccollege is a great analogy.
Teachers are the true heroes of society. Just about every one of you should probably be paid at least five times what you earn.
My wife, a special ed teacher, happened to catch this video as I was watching it and she was like "There's no way he hasn't taught to come up with that analogy. Game is still dumb, though."
As a former fry cook, no one ever asked for my manager. Now when I was on the register taking money, THAT was a different story.

Excellent cosplay in this one! The actress playing Huatli was a little less comical than some other guest stars, like Garruk or Jace, but that gave the Prof a lot more room to play with his character.
Hammdog Porkington I thought she was great and fun! :)
She was very good. I think he means there was a lot less self mockery of the character. In the other videos, the characters parody themselves a lot more, but they have been around long enough to do so. This video was more pointing out the silliness of Huatlis character even existing.
Hammdog Porkington To be fair Garruk was played by Graham Stark who is practically a professional comedian, although that's only a portion of his job.
Also the huatli here is portrayed as a kinda naive sweet girl, to contrast the brutal nature of the dinos and the things and powers related to them huatli has. I'm not sure if that characterization is meant to be as over the top as the other mentioned were. Also the focus here was more the professor, with his real life experience as professor, which kinda fits with the guest being a bit more lay down.
Professor, I haven't seen a single one of your videos that I didn't truly enjoy. This was no exception. For something short, this was very funny and I can only imagine you both enjoyed making it. Thanks again for everything you do!

Because of the slippery slope she would fall into with having people yelling "black face! and/or brown face!" after her and accusing her of being a horrible racist person for it..? I have seen enough reactions to cosplayers whom have coloured their skin darker for a certain cosplay to know what reactions would await her if she did try.
True enough not arguing against that since you can never win against the internet or public opinions in general once their set.
Though I think there are probably less people complaining about Huatli being "whitewashed" by Nadine now, then it would be people complaining about Nadine being racist if she had decided to color her skin darker for the cosplay. But that's just my speculation...
Wait a minute...that was NOT Gregory. We need Marshall Sutcliffe up in these comments. Gregory is a peaceful, happy 9/9 herbivore who never gets played. That was Carnage Tyrant, or Zacama or something!

Hey, I totally played Gregory in my Ixalan Prerelease deck! He served me well, and in so doing, earned a permanent place in my keepers binder. He wasn't the strongest dino card in the paddock but he sure was the biggest.
Now that I think of it, I did face Gregory twice at my prerelease. And then never again in paper or on MTGO. I think the novelty of a 9/9 common lost its umph after prerelease weekend! But I love him.
I got into the magic community like 2 weeks ago and watching your videos motivated me to become a better plainswalker . Thank you prof .

I love her work! Awesome outfit and I feel she did really well getting Huatli across. Her accent makes perfect sense for the character. Also, great job on Gregory!!! That was an awesome touch!!!!!
I might be a little biased but this was by far the best Office Hour video. Huatli is my favorite planeswalker and seeing the cosplay was amazing! Hope wizards does more with her.

It was so simple yet so good, got a like within the first 15 seconds of watching just for that excellent execution of prop humor.
This was super fun. Yes, ethinc related thoughts passed through my mind regarding the actress portraying Huatli, BUT I won't let such things undermine that this was fun and I loved that you guys introduced her in a sketch! Huatli rules!! (proudly raised in Latin America)
The cosplay was amazing.
I especially liked the make up for her eyes, it was extremely fitting to the contacts (if used) and her acting was fitting to the focus on her eyes.
That dinosaur at the end nearly made me die. It was so funny

Professor, I'm someone who wants to get into Magic over the summer. But I'm concerned after seeing your videos over card quality. Has the issue disappeared, do you think it will by that time? Is Magic worth getting into if it hasn't?
