I am happy with my Atlas Pro. These types of wheels make tire changing easier.

🤙🏼⚡ *Practical tips* like this are what we need more of 👏🏼⚡
Checkin the actual tyre for somethin still caught in it isn't somethin that would occur to everyone 🤙🏼

      Thanks mate
I was surprised at the number of people who try and slip the tyre off vs splitting the rim 😂

Nice demonstration, simple and to the point… even showed us how easy it is to leave a spacer out 😅😅😅
(my Achilles heal is the speed rings. Exway pro bearings fixed that 😂)

with split hub, I would put a flat strip inside so it sits around the inside of the rim between the tube and inner rim, this is so you don't pinch the rubber when putting on the 2nd half of the rim on. it's annoying to push in the rubber to avoid it squeezing in between the 2 parts.

What do you use as a strip to avoid pinch?

Essential viewing another Tip if your on a Road trip take some spare wheels then if you get a puncture you can simply swap the wheel and dont loose any ride time.

I do want to add one more thing and that is if you can, put the tire onto the axle and tighten up the nut, then fully inflate the tire. Sometimes, inflating a tire can go wrong due to a number of reasons, you could have a pinched tube cause you're in a hurry to do this in the middle of a ride when you get a flat, it could just be doing all 4 tires and you forgot to be careful to check with 1 etc. Having the wheel on the axle and tightened will safe you if it explodes.

I've considered just buying a whole separate complete wheel to have for when a flat occurs. Havent had a puncture yet, but I know the day is coming.

I should order extra tires, my back up is Cloud Wheel, just incase. I did consider a hole when I purchased my boards. Good advice, most people don't consider this. I tend to get the flats from cargo truck tires blowing out and they shatter little wire needle like pieces that make micro punctures and give slow leaks.

this applies to bike tires too but you may want to inflate the tire then deflate it and re inflate maybe a couple times to make sure that the tube settles in ok.
and when you work on projects where screws, nails or even bits of metal or broken glass may be present make sure you clean up afterwards because you dont want to gove someone else a flat tire either.

Lol UA-cam gave me a floor jack commercial, I don’t think I’ll need one for this tire change 😂

awesome vid man. hoping to get myself an AT board sometime next year but stuck with the old school backfire for now. great to figure out how to take care of punctures on these wheels beforehand.

No mention of tyre liner to help with thorn protection? Have fun in Rotorua today, hopefully you get some activities in with the weather. If it's too wet, take your daughter to Motion on Te Ngae Rd 😊

I find if you check the old tube to see where the hole was then it gives you a better idea of where to check the actual tyre for possible objects.
On another note do you know if its possible/advisable to run slime in the tubes for a bit of puncture protection? Works pretty good on my older mtb tubed tires for years, no pictures before finally going tubeless. Maybe a good idea!??

Nice tips, how common is it to get punctures on AT wheels? Is it possible to set them up tubeless?
