My boys, 5 & 6, were out back with me a few weeks ago pulling weeds and we saw two lady hugs mating. My 5 year old says "mommy! They're giving each other a piggy back ride! That's so nice that they're friends!" 😂😂😂

My deepest condolences for the loss of your grandmother. I will say that I lost my closest grandmother when I was in my early 20s-you had her for a long time and that’s amazing. May she rip and be back in the arms of Papa Jim ❤️
I'm so sorry for your loss. I recently went through the same loss. My moms mom passed. She was a huge part of my life. She went in for a lung procedure and they found cancer. She came home on hospice and passed 3 days later. I saw her all 3 days she was home and was there when she passed. My mom passed 6 years ago. So i feel peace knowing she gets to be with my mom again. She lived a beautiful full life of 80 years, with a husband of 60 years, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. And although her presence will be forever missed i know she lived the best life. And was surrounded with so much love during her last days.

When my mom died her cousin and husband wore bright purple and lavender blazers. I loved it. My cousin reminds me of a beautiful sunflower! Pauline wearing her lavender blazer just fit her personality!

My great grandma also scratches my back. I’m nearly 24 and she will still scratch my back. Now my significant other of 6 years scratches my back. He knows. Those seemingly small things can mean so much when looking back. I haven’t been able to see her as she has a bronchial tube issue and the pandemic has scared her because of that, but she is nearly 82 and I just cannot fathom living without her. My thoughts are with you Angie.

I Know how very special our grandmas are to us. I am 50 years old and I’m truly blessed to still have my grandmother here who will be turning 92 on May 17. She also is my only grandparent left. I lost three of them in ‘91 and ‘92.

Would love a q&a. The other night I couldn't sleep and ended up watching a few episodes of that escalated quickly. You two are so great together! My question is...how are you both liking farm life? Is it what you expected or has it ended up surprising you? Also, how did the training go for your horse, have you had a chance to ride much?
My grandmother passed away towards the end of last year. Her 83rd birthday would have been next week, so she was a similar age to yours. I am only twenty and luckily have two grandparents (one from each side) left alive. But it was very hard for me to lose her and I still miss her in so many little things and want to go to get and talk and show her things and get her advice. She was my godmother as well and we visited at least once a week and she was always so supportive of me at all my milestones. Her loss came very suddenly although she had a bad time at the beginning of the year. I cried so much at her funeral. I also tried to comfort my young cousin who absolutely adored her. I am crying now again, over half a year later. She was a good soul and we all loved her deeply. I am sorry for your loss.

Q&a question. Do the oldest children "take care" of the younger kids a lot? Growing up I took care of my 4 youngest siblings and now I have 5 kids and wonder sometimes if I put too much pressure on the eldest with responsibilities.
I lost my Nana in 2017. Man was that hard, she raised me and I feel exactly what you said, it feels selfish to miss her so much. I know she is loving her time in heaven. She was so Christ-like.

I wrestle with the same feelings, but I was talking with my oldest (12) and she LOVES taking care of her younger siblings. Especially If it gets her out of regular chores. 😆
I was wondering where they are during the time she vlogs and while hubs works on farm... mine are on my tail all day and I homeschool too. I can't pee without them.
@@angieklein4608 My older sister used to take care a lot of me and she hated it. We don't have a good relationship now. She doesn't miss me at all.
@@cytrynoweniebo9268 I'm sorry that happened. Can I ask what your age difference was and the kind of "taking care" she did? I try to make it only short episodes of something fun. Reading or swinging or playing in the water or leaves or whatever family activity we are doing. I never want them to feel responsible for "babysitting" but rather spending time with their younger siblings.
@@angieklein4608 There is 7 years difference between us. She had to take me to her friend's homes and in general keep un eye on me. She kept telling me that she hates me for that. She wanted to spend her free time without me. Nowadays we are two grown women and we're not close to each other. She holds a grudge against me, even though I was only a little girl.

I swear you are the same age as my daughter. She was born in 84. And my son in 88. I’m so sorry about your gramma, no matter how many years they’ve lived and how good their lives have been, we still miss them. Especially if we have wonderful memories of our childhood with them. I have wonderful memories of both sets of my grandparents. And their homes and the things we did there. Only now both of our parents are gone too. So we are next in line to leave. Nothing like it to make you feel your own mortality. Smh. The piggy and the new chick are adorable. And the roses too! Spring is my favorite season of all. I just love the fresh air and the bright green of the new leaves and all the flowers. I wish it stayed like this all year! Give your mom a hug for me, I know how hard it is to say goodbye to your mom. Never stop missing her.

I’m so sorry to her about your nana. I keep my 87 year old nana on Mondays and Thursdays. Ever since my grandpa died last year. He was her caregiver after she survived 2 aneurysms, a stroke and a massive heart attack. Now my mom, aunts, uncles, sister and I take care of her to keep her out of the nursing home. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I will cherish the time I get to spend with her. I regret not spending more time with my papaw the year before he passed… but Covid. I wanted to stay away to keep them safe.
Your relationship with your grandma sounds just like mine 🙂 I get my sarcasm from her and no matter where she is.. the hospital or at home, we love cracking jokes and picking on each other. I can only imagine how much she enjoys it despite the pain she's in and maybe your grandma was the same. Wishing you all the best Angie! 💕

Wow Timmy is super cute ! Now I want one :) Sorry about your grandmother. Glad you had many years with her. I only ever had 1 set of grandparents and both passed by the time I was age 11. I wish I had longer with them, especially my grandmother. Take time to grieve because if you don't it does catch up with you and is larger. I had several family members pass while I was working and then when my dad passed (my mom was already gone), I had a breakdown so was forced to take time. Hugs for you all

Going in for surgery, expecting to come out of it better and then not. That’s rough. I’m glad she got to the age she did. I lost my dad during bypass surgery end of 2020, he was only 67 years old. He was supposed to go in and get better, but he never woke up. 😔
Usually when ”my” chickens hatch, the hen stays in the nest with them for a day and then leave. This last time the chickens hatched during 2 days and hen left the nest on day 3. We have 7 little ones right now, they are cute 😍 I’m so sorry for your loss ❤

Is that tar paper for shingles on the duck ramp? Won't it get melted and sticky in the sun? I think that's why it's used under shingles to help them adhere so they don't flap and break when it's windy. 🙃😳

I absolutely hate the part about thinning out seedlings. I feel like I can hear the little ones screaming as they die. Silly, and I've tried to replant seedlings in other places but they are so tender they usually die anyway. I always want to have everything live, but it's not feasible. LOL
