If you're reading this and you've never bought an Evo Sounds sound pack before.. trust me it is the bomb. Really speeds things up and works as advertised. Just remember when mixing, to turn off reverbs and delays in your Serum and replace them with your own reverb and delay (sends or busses).. learnt this from Shifu himself..
Never bought an Evo pack, but I will once I have time for producing!! And Ive seen packs where they doubled all presets and included a "dry" version without reverb and delay... for the pros who use their own effects right away. Makes sense to me.
Sup, I never buy sample packs, ever (or anything lol). I usually just watch the tutorials. Anyways I spent some pocket change (literally) and yep it has really good sounds in it. They are all ready to place in the mix, already full of harmonics, saturated, compressed, etc. As an artist who knows what he's producing & doesn't really mess around in the synthesizers this is a really good investment. Saves me time & allows me to quickly progress with my tracks instead of messing with a sylenth1 bass for an hour for it to sound meh. Thx dude, good stuff.
I wish I had the time to produce some music. Feels like the best moments of my days are watching you having the same fun I would have while producing. Always a lot to learn from you, but I love your emotions. Keep going! Music is ❤️
And this why EVERYONE need theory. It's working with any dissonant note, forth for example, coz dissonance is the only thing that creates tension in musical landscape. You also can utilse "tritone" (Six semitones interval) or diminished chords to evoke serious, uneasy or tense mood. And of course, tou can advance your game if you learn modes. For example dorian can work surprisingly well, if implement correctly, coz it's minor scale, but with one raised note, wich can lead to more hopeful feeling, for transitions, turnarounds or changing sections, if you have one. There are endless possibilities, all you need to do is learn a little bit outside of your comfort zone, and find a way to implement it to your tracks.
Hey ZenW I did something very similar on my 303 but didn't know the theory behind it. Always going for the 2nd and 3rd. Know I now. Thanks Ps: can't wait to get those presets on the new pack and go straight to the charts. 🎧🔨💭 Bring more the techno stuff.
I'm a beginner but would love to start making exactly these types of creations....Sounds great...point me in the right direction what the best Sound Packs and Software is PLEASE
But in all honesty, I never learned music theory. I love. literally just rely on my ears. to tell me. where the note should go. Plus also after doing. this counterproductive method. of writing. I started to learn. how to hear. things that need to be added to make stuff more melodic or build tension. But I'm sure I could have learned that stuff Literally 100 times faster. I thought I actually made myself learn piano.
