Really enjoyed this one. Your videos are killer. Thank you! I am learning a lot and making lots of progress from watching them. Thank you for posting these for free. You're a G
Zen you have literally taught me how to use serum and now i can unpack your wisdom in your videos much better. thank you for the knowledge, it doesn't go unappreciated!
Your shit is straight up badass. Its like letting an artist go into an art store to buy paints vs having to smash ladybugs and blue berries to put some color on paper. dope AF. I'll be buying this one for sure. Basslines R LIFE.
Just bought 2 more of your packs, they’re so dope!! Especially when I throw effectrix on it 😝 - hope you make a pack full of all kinds of rolling bass lines one day for Serum / Serum FX! 🤞🏽 Sometimes I just wanna throw in a preset and call it a day 😅
Hey Zen, can you do a video on layering chords? PARADOX helps me make an emotional synth but I have a hard time developing / layering it over time to avoid boredom in the track
The bass is already sidechained. It can't collide with the kick. Giving a bit attack is even more advantageous for after kick also bass would keep its own pumpiness as well. But it's a matter of taste at the end of the day., depends on producer's preferences...
duuuuude I love this tutorail, this is great man. Do you have a video on LFOtool? I've not seen that before, I just assumed everyone just used sidechain compression
Trying this technique in the 3rd octave, but using multiple notes. I get to about 2 minutes in this video doing everything you do, but each note sounds significantly different with the timing. The first note in the bar sounds much earlier and oddly faster. Then the middle notes sound fine. I even tried key tracking on the filter. Any ideas?
It was so helpful! I'm a Japanese who is just now learning about acid house culture in the following video (the video is all in Japanese, so if you're interested, please translate) ua-cam.com/video/Q-4dQdlkZqE/v-deo.html I am also a composer and often create synth tones with vital, but I didn't even know it was called "rolling bassline", so I will use it as a reference for my future tone creation!
GIVE THIS MAN HIS FLOWERS. Love how you explain the 'why?', but still keep it succinct and short. I'm hooked

Zen you are the best ❤
Can’t wait for the pack! You’ve showed us a lot and I’ll continue to buy and support !!
bro ur the best thank you so much
could you make a tutorial about how to approach the mid range mixing?
When using the Ableton compressor make sure to put the attack on zero. This kills the first transient which otherwise would collide with the kick.
or, use look ahead of 10 ms, so you can don't have the click if the attack is to fast and also kill the first transient !

in the part of the compressor are you doing a sidechaing to te bass?
Looking forward to the release of this pack
What's the difference between using an envelope to control the filter vs using an envelope?
Thanks Zen ❤️
