I really appreciate these instructional videos. I love the look of 2d animation but I don't like the look of the toon shader and don't want to teach myself a whole new rigging program like Duik in After Effects. Thanks a lot
in the eyebrows portion how is ur NURBS square has circular corners? I tried making the same with a NURBS circle but now the edges too have become circular.
If you want to copy the eye rig to make the second eye, you have two options: - Import the eye rig file again, so you have two separate rigs. Then, move one into position for the second eye. - You can try duplicating the rig by selecting the top nodes of the hierarchy, going to Edit > Duplicate Special, and enabling the 'Duplicate input connections' option. Let me know which one works for you, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions!
@@jcrossley17 that's exactly what I did I was just wondering if there's a better way of doing it, for instance in my case I opened the eye as reference and then imported it in the scene, but since I'm repositioning it, now it's got values. I guess it's best if I duplicated and placed the joints, controllers to the side for the second eye while I'm doing it to avoid these issues! 🤔
I've been trying to keep the rigging videos for this character simple. But the eyes can be frustrating if they don't have enough controls, so I ended up using more animation controls this time. But, we could always do a simplified version using the same techniques.
Man!! Im so glad that I found your channel! THanks!
awesome video ! really great stuff
We are waiting for the next episode! Thank you James.
Amazingly helpful as always! Keep up the awesome work!!!
Thanks

I'm not a fan of the toon shaders either. But, it's cool that we can use Maya's polygons to create lines and shapes like vectors in Illustrator.
Thanks for the awesome video
Amazing
Me comin to look at some riggin tips and realizing it’s my old professor from SCAD aayyyy
Hi James, can you please show us how to do a side view with these flat facial features on a 3D head?
this so awesome better then 2d soft lol
Is it possible to get the same results in blender
Good job. Possible export texture animated to format .fbx ?

srs question, how do you group or combine the polygon pupil with the nurbcircle pupil, i tried ctrl+g/ combine, it didnt work. please reply fast 🙏
You want to make the polygon pupil a child of the nurbcircle (Control). Select the poly, shift select the nurb, and Edit/Parent.
🙏❤️
serious doubt tho, how do I copy the eye once i have finished rigging?

Man that rig is complex

@@jcrossley17 I meant complex in a good way not that its getting worst
@@courage7638 That's good news, Thanks.
