My brother moved to Darwin with his wife a few years ago. I’ve been twice to visit. Once in the wet season (Very humid!) and once in the dry season. Both times it was amazing and beautiful. It has such a relaxed vibe . Great place to switch off and enjoy life.

I spent a year in Darwin in 90-91 on a pom visa. This is great for me. I’ve had occasional dreams of the place, very weird. Guess I miss the place.

I find that living in Queensland is too hot in summer, being born in the U K, so the constant heat of Darwin would finish me off; The city looks nice though.

What is the process of Visa for australia?
Mate unfortunately we are not visa consultants but various visa processes are straight forward and can be seen on Australian immigration website.
Come for a holiday, work it out when you get here. Try for a working visa. I'd come for a holiday first check it out. Or student visa and study my friend. The Darwin university is really good. Last I saw the government is in the process of building a second campus near Stokeshill wharf in the city.
