If the tank is dusty it will get scratches from the magnet otherwise no.

I think golden Riders M Poche is better for you. You can check out my video on this one. It has belt loop & sling attachment so you can use it when off the bike much better than wolverine bag.

You mean to say fuel injection? No, it will not cause any problem with that. Its controlled by ECU.
