- The Duke of Cambridge is to carry out his final shift for the East Anglian Air Ambulance as he steps down to take on more royal duties on behalf of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
Having reporters and cameramen at work photographing your every step must be so uncomfortable
Was just thinking he doesn’t look stoked to be there.
He worked as a pilot at the air ambulance until 2017. This was an official press date. Apart from that there were never photographer or reporters following him.

There are tons of Karens and self-proclaimed social auditors who breathe on average people and civil servants necks as they are just trying to do their job every day. At least when the photo op was over Prince William don't have to put up with that no more.

As a former Army aviation mechanic, I can appreciate how Prince William is wearing no FOD. No watch, no ring. Totally squared away. I like that.
You could tell the others were very comfortable around him during his time there. Dignity, trust and hard work.
A read an article recently ( because if theirs 10th anniversary), Kate used to bake cakes and he used to bring those cakes at his workplace.

It must be so hard knowing that all his colleagues knew every tiny detail about him and his parents,most of us have things we just don’t share with the world,he had no choice
Honestly in my workplace people know everything about you also.. they dig to find things about you that you dont want others to know
Why should they know every tiny detail about his life. They are colleagues. If they are friends too, he ma share things with them. But apart from that, they may know just as much as we do and this is not very tiny little detail. William and Katen actually manage to find good balance in their life. When they do their duty, they are in public and media is a part of this life. But other than than they manage to have a private life, that they keep private as much as possible. Never thought that they ever felt bad or unbalanced. They found a perfect balance.

Not to mention they've all seen his baby pictures from the very first moment he was born, his first day at school, right to when he was mourning his mom during her funeral.
He will be a great king. Down to earth and actually relaxed with the general public, work mates etc
He certainly will be, in about 20-30 years time, depending on how long Charles lives.
Hopefully Charles will abdicate his role when the queen dies, but I really doubt Camilla will let him.
@@kevinwake8789 I am not a British subject, but I do not understand this disgust towards Prince Charles. What did he commit to deserve this quite common expressed attitude? It is not a crime, if someone does not want to carry on a marriage, that is benefitial for none of the three parties.

Prince William is a wonderful young man who has did everything he’s called to do,I admire the Duke of Cambridge.
Just like million other young British people like him, yet he gets everything for free and they need to live under the burden of mortgage and taxes for the rest of their lives. the notion of Royal family is so old and primitive

He didn’t want to leave because he loved it, but duty calls and he must obey the Queen. Learning to be King isn’t an easy task. Charles will tell you that. We are all so proud of Prince William.

Undoubtably yes, but usually those in an air ambulance are unlikely to be in a condition to chat to the pilot.

He should’ve kept that job. A lot of what he’s doing now could have been done by another member of the family. But...popularity is a must. Public relations is a must.
It's his duty first and foremost to serve Britain, although that means a lot of sacrifice. If anything, I must admit I admire that people like him are willing to give up what they love most in order to do what must be done.
He had to when prince Philip retired in 2017.

@@s.wright6945 first of all harry played play station in Afghanistan. Second thing William was going to join the army just like harry before him but the media made it impossible. They were planning to sent him secretly because if anyone knew that future king was joining them it would have been extremely dangerous. Because of media everyone knew this and they had no choice but to stop him. Thanks to this they were smarter next time kept this secret when it came to harry. William being sensible and not whiny brat understood that his presence would mean just putting lives of his colleagues in danger nothing else.
