This is such a sweet film of the boys and their dad together in such a normal way. William quite obviously has the same love and respect for his horse as his grandmother did for hers. The queen loved to spend time with her horses.

My faith, knowing that they live on and that death is something of an illusion to the human experience - allows me to take comfort that I will be with them again. I feel their presence around me at times, and yes of course there are times when I miss them. I don't come from a life of privilege, infact my life has been one of struggling to survive on more occasions than I care to recall. Watching the princes' grow their entire lives, I have seen them in their grief and later having lots of fun in various pursuits that the majority of us can only dream of. They looked extremely happy on many occasions laughing and having fun with eachother and others. Harry has his own demons now caused by alcohol and drugs, but those things also happen to those who still have their mothers around. I don't know you, and I can't comment about you personally, but I do feel that hanging on to grief can not be a healthy thing. Time heals the majority who suffer a terrible loss, and healing comes eventually. Faith is the soul or spirit is a wonderful thing. The soul lives forever and the spiritual world is more real than you know. I wish you all the very best of everything - especially peace & love. Your elderly father just fell from a horse and is unconscious...I would be terrified because my father is only a few years younger than Charles and rides.

@Sarah Same, with how emotional Charles seems to be, I find it hard to believe the claims that Harry was completely neglected by him. Sure, Harry probably didn't get his way, but there's a lot of things that the monarchy did to protect Harry that they didn't need to do. I doubt Charles was a perfect father, but he also had to fill the role of both father and mother after Diana's death. My mother died when I was the same age as Harry, and my dad took a lot of stress on because he had to fill both roles. It wasn't easy, especially since we didn't have a lot of family around us like the Royals do. He wasn't perfect, and definitely had his flaws when it came to parenting, but he did the best he was able to do and I will forever be grateful.
He seems normal fatherly to both the boys, William being older he has more to say, more in common, doesn't mean loves him more. He had a hard road being both to them, I think many tried to "make it up" to Harry, and he became overly indulged and self centered due it. He didn't see any problems or have any with his family until someone came along and fed into them. We need to remember his dad wasn't all he had. Many other distant relatives, friends world round, William and later Kate, camilla, her children, and tons of yes people all around him. Far as I can see he _felt_ all these things, there is no proof of them, and even said his dad told him and William this and that. Not just him. Charles was older when they were born, he comes from a different generation in the way children were raised, and had his own challenges. He seemed to want, and did better for his sons. He said before that he and Diana had their own ideas of how they wanted their sons raised, they discussed, and it wasn't others business of it. I recall after the divorce, though it was only sadly a year before her death, but they said they got along better, and spoke often of their sons upbringing. He could have said I have custody will do as I wish. He included her in their sons lives fully. Harry is mental and immature, and has some helping him see the worst of everything of his growing up. Usually when someone matures they realize others views, it wasn't as bad as seemed as a child, even more so when a parent themselves.

There are films throughout growing up riding, skiing, sailing, travelling - all laughing together. They are very witty. Harry had forgotten all of it. Such a shame!

Personal opinion here: William made peace with the past. William married well and found comfort in Kate (which means Kate contributed a lot in him moving and looking forward). Also, being in line of the throne, he has first understood the responsibility that is awaiting him, secondly he has accepted it and finally he is open enough to balance out respect of duty with being yourself, just see the way him and Kate are as parents. Prince Charles loved and still loves his boys, it is just that currently he respects the one but not the other!!! It should be remembered that he was purportedly brought up quite substantially by the queen mother who spoilt him rotten..prince Philip attempted to ‘toughen him’ by sending him to Gordonstoun school in Scotland which had a reputation for turning ‘boys into men’. His grandmother however remained the reverse at home and thus it must have been very confusing for Charles. It should be remember that the queen was kept very busy with affairs of state. All this to say that prince Charles is as we all are....flawed! He also appears to have been a good and caring son to his parents. However he has always done his best for his boys as a loving and caring father. He has used the tools in his arsenal/life experiences and done his very best. The fact that William has become the man he is and Harry has been troubled and taken the ‘rebel’ route is not down to Charles.

They ride so beautifully. They make it look as easy as walking. Those horses are stunning. I have two Missouri Fox Trotters. A mare and her daughter. They have a particular gait, it feels like floating while they run. Horse and leather is one of my favorite scents.

I have tried practicing for polo and it is not an easy thing to do. I was lucky to spot the ball let alone hit it. I did love riding, so it was a fun day.
Paul Burrell: Charles was never there it was Diana who would put them to sleep it was Diana who gave them baths and it was Diana who was always there. But it is not Charles fault it is no ones fault really it's is just the way he was brought up. So it is whatever. A father no matter what you don't leave your child at risk exposed and vulnerable. He has the duchy of Cornwall 1.6 billion worth which is private funding for his family he could have used that to fund his sons Canada security and then he would have never moved to the USA and that might have afforded time to talk things out for year and talk to him for as long as possible and show him he is there for him as a father that might have helped because he would have felt supported. He should know his son better even if it is the met police responsible for security his son is like his mother them withdarawing security was just going to hurt him further and push him further away. He let things get this far and when you hurt your children especially in a situation like that when he had the power to fix so much and they let ot spiral out of control. He could have paid for the security and there will be no Netflix or spotify deals that the media for some reason are going on about when i don't see anything wrong with it. Now his son is in that space i dont blame dad it is just the way you brought up but i won't allow that for my children and he has gone rogue which is in a way just further endangering himself because no matter how toxic things got and how much freedom he has he is still a Prince who fought in the army with a wife who received death threats at Kensington palace when powder was sent even if he has private top notch security, his security still allows him alot freedom which makes it not tight enough like the government provided security and that is not safe but he also feels unsupported and almost chased due to how badly he was treated and I'm shocked how still no one took great comtrol of the situation and i know this because i listened to a podcast with Harry and the hurt is there but it is like he is making peace with it which is not good because that means he is like it is whatever i don't care anymore. Diana even in death is still the better parent she kept him going not just financially but you can tell he has her spirit, bravery and drive yet Charles is the only parent those 2 boys or men have he should please step up to the plate not just help mend tge relationship with his son but between his sons. He let Diana down in marriage he cannot let down with the 2 boys that are her legacy and who she wanted to keep together because lets be honest those men ave through alot together and will need eachother because when the queen is no more things will take their challenging course and a divided family doesn't help the matter. He could have said I have custody will do as I wish. He included her in their sons lives fully.
Harry is mental and immature, and has some helping him see the worst of everything of his growing up. Usually when someone matures they realize others views, it wasn't as bad as seemed as a child, even more so when a parent themselves.

William made peace with the past. William married well and found comfort in Kate (which means Kate contributed a lot in him moving and looking forward). Also, being in line of the throne, he has first understood the responsibility that is awaiting him, secondly he has accepted it and finally he is open enough to balance out respect of duty with being yourself, just see the way him and Kate are as parents. They are very well balanced
Harry, has not made peace with the past yet, it seems that everything he does is driven by what he went through as a child (the loss of his mum). He’s living in fear of loosing his wife the way he lost his mum. He’s still blaming the system for his mum’s death, he’s having a hard time moving on and worst he married someone who apparently isn’t helping him have closure with his past

Prince Charles loved and still loves his boys, it is just that currently he respects the one but not the other!!! It should be remembered that he was purportedly brought up quite substantially by the queen mother who spoilt him rotten..prince Philip attempted to ‘toughen him’ by sending him to Gordonstoun school in Scotland which had a reputation for turning ‘boys into men’. His grandmother however remained the reverse at home and thus it must have been very confusing for Charles. It should be remember that the queen was kept very busy with affairs of state.
All this to say that prince Charles is as we all are....flawed! He also appears to have been a good and caring son to his parents. However he has always done his best for his boys as a loving and caring father. He has used the tools in his arsenal/life experiences and done his very best. The fact that William has become the man he is and Harry has been troubled and taken the ‘rebel’ route is not down to Charles.

They ride so beautifully. They make it look as easy as walking. Those horses are stunning. I have two Missouri Fox Trotters. A mare and her daughter. They have a particular gait, it feels like floating while they run. Horse and leather is one of my favorite scents.

But it is not Charles fault it is no ones fault really it's is just the way he was brought up. So it is whatever. A father no matter what you don't leave your child at risk exposed and vulnerable. He has the duchy of Cornwall 1.6 billion worth which is private funding for his family he could have used that to fund his sons Canada security and then he would have never moved to the USA and that might have afforded time to talk things out for year and talk to him for as long as possible and show him he is there for him as a father that might have helped because he would have felt supported. He should know his son better even if it is the met police responsible for security his son is like his mother them withdarawing security was just going to hurt him further and push him further away. He let things get this far and when you hurt your children especially in a situation like that when he had the power to fix so much and they let ot spiral out of control. He could have paid for the security and there will be no Netflix or spotify deals that the media for some reason are going on about when i don't see anything wrong with it. Now his son is in that space i dont blame dad it is just the way you brought up but i won't allow that for my children and he has gone rogue which is in a way just further endangering himself because no matter how toxic things got and how much freedom he has he is still a Prince who fought in the army with a wife who received death threats at Kensington palace when powder was sent even if he has private top notch security, his security still allows him alot freedom which makes it not tight enough like the government provided security and that is not safe but he also feels unsupported and almost chased due to how badly he was treated and I'm shocked how still no one took great comtrol of the situation and i know this because i listened to a podcast with Harry and the hurt is there but it is like he is making peace with it which is not good because that means he is like it is whatever i don't care anymore. Diana even in death is still the better parent she kept him going not just financially but you can tell he has her spirit, bravery and drive yet Charles is the only parent those 2 boys or men have he should please step up to the plate not just help mend tge relationship with his son but between his sons. He let Diana down in marriage he cannot let down with the 2 boys that are her legacy and who she wanted to keep together because lets be honest those men ave through alot together and will need eachother because when the queen is no more things will take their challenging course and a divided family doesn't help the matter. It is like all sides are so blind they think they don't need eachother i don't know them so i dont know why maybe due to hurt on all sides but according they're very close friend Tom Bradby who doesn't talk about their business but had no choice as he felt like je was in the middle probably all their friends feel that way because i would feel that way and tom was getting dragged into ot by the media. He said their have been arguing for 18 months and these was before Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties. Charles seems like a good man i don't know him personally butba man who cared for climate change before alot of people did is surely good despite all their mistakes which makes them human but his sons and grandchildren need him he is the father and their the children so he needs to step up for them and Diana and intervene life is too short.
