If we add NaOH to the burette, and if the burette is of borosilicate, then NaOH will react in the burette to form a silicate compound, resulting in the whitening of the walls of the burette.

You are determining the strength and molarity of naoh taken in burette but the lab manual says the acid/base taken in titration flask is the one whose molarity is to be determined...please can you tell whose Molarity is to be known is to be taken in pippete or burette?!?
