- This is the original animation trailer created for “Princess Maker 2: Regeneration.”
The original opening animation was produced by Yonago Gainax. The animation, led by Mr. Takami Akai, aims to evoke the future relationship between the player (who becomes the “father”) and the “daughter” bestowed upon them by the star god.

Apparently its already been confirmed censored on playstation. The switch and pc releases havent been changed
Is this coming out in North America? Or is it import with English In options
@@drowningin This game's Steam page says that this game will support four localizations with English being one of them. I assume the same will be true for the console releases.

I have never played a game in this franchise yet, but it has always interested me. I am looking forward to checking it out when this releases.
PS4/ PS5 versions delayed to reduce brust sice of the protagoniste and remove the option to marry the father or her buttler! Nintendo Switch version won't be censored!! Nintendo allows more mature content than Sony! Its to the teenie audience on Playstation i suppose. What times we live in😂
I mean Nintendo never censored 3rd parties besides blood in MK1 game then didn’t censor in MK2 onward. People just assume because they make all age first party games that they censor third party’s.
@@drowningin Actually in fact Switch users are older than PS users (25- 35 average)! Nintendos own IR Report confirms this. Playstation is more teen orientated with harmless popcorn entertainment like Call Of Duty (my 16 year old cousin plays that with his 6 year old brother) or Gran Turismo.

this game is such a wild ride. in my playthrough i streamed to my friends my daughter became a killing machine, defeated the god of war, and in her adulthood took up the role of a bounty hunter. fun, wacky stuff.

i am looking forward to this, but i am a bit disappointed because when it was first announced i thought it was going to be a full blown remake! but the new animations and illustrations look beautiful, and im just happy theres some new content for this series

They showcase the redrawn art on their site. That art is being handled by the original artist for the series and the comparison of his new work to the refined edition art is night and day

Wait, are these actually going to be included in the game too!? I was not expecting an update that big to this game, that's amazing! I love the art style in these they add so much charm to a game that's already bursting with it. If the game is fully localized and has a stronger translation closer in quality to the SoftEgg version I may need to double dip and buy this not just for Switch but for my PC as well!

They capture a really nice 80's animation vibe.
I found PM2 pretty hard to get into (compared to 3 and 5), but will give this an honest shot when it comes out.
wth, 4 -> 2 -> 3, 2 is one of the best and the only series with Adventure!

@@stephenchan9208 I see. Thanks for clarifying. I never did play PM4, I'd be really keen on it though, as PM3 and PM5 are my favourites.
PM2 seemed hardcore difficult, throws you right in the deep end and the gameplay systems are a bit primitive.
This is just my opinion, and an unpopular one it seems.
However, I do love a challenge and I will give PM2 another shot as I do want to support the series.
Can you please explain what the 'Adventure' is? Is that when you go out on quests and fight enemies and earn treasure?
@@thelastsidewalk The festival in PM2 is more throughout, there is combat, dancing, cooking and art. Once your daughter art reached 90+ and draw the "Heaven's Angels" then its a guarantee win for 4000G, then the game will become super easy
I believe the difficulty you are referring to is the startup money?
This is where adventure comes into place. You need to run/hide from monster until you get the treasures. You will also need to lend the power from demons to raise your charismatic/refinement/Stamina with the trade of faith. Once you get enough points to win the festival then you can start attending classes to raise your daughter morals and faith once again
I was extremely looking forward to playing this on PS4 where it's easier to stream/record on and PSN Trophies. One of my all time favourite games getting a new remaster for consoles was amazing. To finally play what the original director considered a complete version! But with the censorship announcement I guess my excitement to play the remake at all has died. I don't even play the routes being removed, but the thought of playing a version that's not complete makes me not want to play at all when I can play the Refined or DOS versions. I had the PS5 set pre-ordered and planned to buy the digital PS4 version the day of release. There are many other problematic situations in PM2 so the cherry picking content removal right before the game releases (also poor Cube) really leaves a bitter taste.

impossible, as you can see in the trailer they already censor the fairies. Just stick to the DOS version, it's the ultimate best version.
ya know, all those "nasty" options were hidden in the original game and you had to use cheating to get. It was what made this game really unique.
Here's to hopping they don't censor anything. I know some of this games western community is filled with absolute numbskulls. I saw they changed the fairies but honestly I prefer the redesign, their original bodies looked weirdly plasticy, the leaf clothing makes em look much better. I just hope they don't cut any endings, remove and change dialogue, or alter art and CGs to make em "more palatable" or some BS like that. Now your long time fans Gainax.
I will never understand people like you. I mean yes censorship can be useless but this game has awfull thing like l0li stuff ( p*d0 vibes) etc etc. So maybe they should change some things.
I dunno, there's some unnecessary naked kid stuff that I'd like to see made more palatable. The debug nude dress too. That one is probably worse actually. Culturally, the kids going naked mountain swimming thing makes more sense in Japan, but even in media they've moved away from showing that a lot since the 90s because it's pretty distasteful and can be done in less problematic ways. Especially in cases like this where it doesn't harm the art nor the overall product to do so.

Plud the lolicon elements have always been a part of the series since the first entry up to 5. That much is obvious. Don't remove them just to make it more "palatable".
The PS4/5 version has now been officially delayed to comply with Sony "Ethical standards" PC and Switch versions unaffected.
even if they look plasticky, the dev can always redraw it better while keeping those fairies nude. artist these days draws better than artist in the 90s. there is no reason to give those fairies clothing
