Coming from the UK, I'm distracted from your boat review by the crazy amount of space you guys have between houses and how much land/garden each one has. I'd never be able to afford to live somewhere so spacious in the UK. And all the vehicles/toys on the driveway? What a life! I'm envious!
Well it’s not from lack of hard work. I have a masters and Ed.s degree and my wife has a masters. I’ve worked 3 jobs plenty of times to pay for toys. The lane you see is getting less and less available though. Most new developments are very close together.
@@Senpai_77 I can't really give you solid advice on that since I haven't paddled it. It is on the bigger side for me. However, what I know about it, is that it is a fast boat with hard edges that wants to be driven. It is not a boat you can just float and have a lot of time to read and run. You really need to pick your lines and drive hard with that boat. I am sure there are some reviews out there on that boat though since it has been out for awhile.
Have you measured the distance between bolts on the grab handles on the Waka? If it's the same as a Pyranha you can just swap out the handles. Or see if it's the same as a Jackson or Dagger might fit too.
Always great reviews from you !! I am also interested in a Scorch but the problem is that with my 192 lbs I am at the very upper end for the M and at the lower for the L as per indications from Pyranha. Looking in a theoretic way only at the volume I guess the M is enough. I am an intermediate paddler doing mostly 3+ to 4+. Often at low water levels. But I do not want to overload the Scorch. I want to unlock the speed and not have the edges always engaged. What do you think suits better for me, a Scorch M or L ? Bye
Thanks for watching. I am honestly not sure since I have never paddled through large. Obviously with the large you will be riding more above the water and have more speed most likely, but it eill be harder to control edge and edge. I would try both if you can.
Hey Matt, thanks for the reviews for the smaller paddlers! I always seem to weigh in between sizes. Do you think someone who is 5’ 8’’, 145-148Ibs would probably be too small to get the most out of the medium scorch?
The medium scorch definitely felt big on me and I didn’t like it that much for my size. If your a well fit and strong individual then I would say you might be ok. I think the ideal weight would be like 170 to 190. Also depends on if your used to bigger boats. I should have the small to review in the next few weeks if you can wait.
I’ll try to get one soon. I still work 40 hours a week and have a wife and two kids. I wish I could do this full time lol. Might be a few weeks but I’ll try to get another one up! Thanks for watching and commenting l!
Scorch looks amazing. I’m 6’ 135lbs and hoping small might work, but planning to demo Medium in the meantime. Stoked that you did side-by-side w Billy. I’m on fence ab my Billy, but I need some more time in it to know for sure. The low stern rocker isn’t my favorite, and Scorch seems to have nailed it there. Couldn’t quite tell, but is deck/cockpit rim height behind seat lower on Scorch than Billy? Most Pyranha boats are low there and it makes rolling easier, esp backdeck. I made a video of my initial Billy thoughts and compared it to my Machno. ua-cam.com/video/pr9PtPe5NdQ/v-deo.html One minor suggestion: your intro and outro titles are quick; too fast to read imo. Keep up the great content. Thx!
Kevin-Thanks for always checking out my videos! Correct on the seat position being lower than billy goat behind the deck rim. All pyranhas are lower as there philosophy is you can always add height, but not take it away. I finally outfitted it and I have moved the seat forward one, added 4 hip shims on each side, and I have 4 seat shims under the seat. I will be testing it out this weekend and posting an update video next week probably. Thanks for the feedback on the intros etc. I do my best but I have full time job, 2 kids, and a wife so editing sometimes gets rushed. Its more about the content to help people out but I am always open for suggestions! I will sub to your channel also. Thanks for putting out content!

Great looking boat. 👌 Im hoping to upgrade in a year or 2 to this one.
Definitely a sick boat, try one out when you get a chance! Thanks for watching!
@@DownstreamV will do. Its my first year on the sport. What do you think about 9r medium?

Yea would be nice. I know people fabricate them. For 1500 no reason they shouldn’t. Still love my goat though

Thanks Matt. Appreciate the insights man. I will definitely wait for the small review as well.
Could you do another video on the scorch

Looks like I found my big water boat.
