I have quite a few hats, not completely but mostly purchased online since there just aren't many good shops where I live. Just have to say that it is very nice to see informational videos like this! Most don't do that and it is very much appreciated!!
I ware hats daily all year long. Weave is most important in straw hats. To tight a weave can be just as hot as a Wool or Felt hat wore during cool months.You need a straw hat that breathes allowing air flow for cooling in hot sunny weather. Also Lenin headband rather then leather ban around the inside of hats crown area is also cooler. Plus taller crowns are cooler then shorter crowns. Heat rises to the top away from your scalp area. Just some things I've learned from experience.
I like that Arlo , if it was available in camo I would use it for fishing and hunting. The Stetson hats I have are my favorites but the wild turkeys see them . I guess they don't care for them.

Hats should be stored either upside down or on a hat form to keep the shape and integrity of the brim
