To defend Blitzø, he has a really broken past and has a hard time trusting people
That’s why I love the line ‘is there something more that I don’t know’
Cuz it’s got Stolas considering he doesn’t know all the facts and can’t judge him unfairly
That's why I don't harp on him. I know that he's had a pretty rough go at life. But it does make it all the sadder.
He's preventing himself from getting hurt because that's all that happens to Blitz, other than his daughter, he doesn't have much good going on, on a personal level and most of the time she's pretty mean to him.
The way I interpret Stolas breaking that "bind on their souls" is that he realises that if he EVER wants Blitzo to understand Stolas' feelings are REAL, he HAS to break the deal he and Blitzo have had now for a long time, ie. The Grimoire Loan.

@EversPrimeTime it makes sense to me to be that, since Blitzo in the visuals to this song here is being represented by the full moon, which is when the pair have arranged that Blitzo returns the Grimoire and fulfills his end of the deal with Stolas as well.
This is absolutely incredible. The gorgeous visuals, the haunting music, the pain in Stolas' voice, you can instantly understand exactly how bad he wants Blitzø, how he wishes Blitzø would tell him how he feels, and how Stolas wonders if he's the problem. I'm tearing up so much, and even more hyped for episode 8.
The visuals are what I keep coming back to. They're just so stunning. It was really hard choosing a thumbnail this time around. Usually I have to find the most "shocking" bit, but this was about finding the most beautiful shot.
Paranoid DJ must be proud, that one of his songs is used. And that Stolas' va is singing it.
It's so sad as Blitz does seems to have feelings for Stolas. But he supresses them as he thinks that Stolas sees him as a plaything, combine that with his past with the circus, Blitz just thinks he doesn't deserve Stolas
Now I really want to hear some of his other songs canonized, because they’re GREAT

Oh let's GO. That will be highly emotional, no doubt.
Not only is this visually and audibly stunning, but the LYRICS of this song might be some of the best out of any of the other songs this show has given to us.
They hit so, so well, and really sell how heart broken and desperate Stolas is to have Blitz's love, whilst at the same time wanting to understand why Blitz is avoiding him and trying to come to a conclusion on what he can do to make things right.
I especially love the part where we see them tied together with the red-blue outlines when Stolas sings, *"And no matter what in this world I could give, it's not enough to get through the walls you've conjured up to live. Is this what you feel? Scorned by a realm that cannot comprehend what you are. So I'll grant you this mercy, this bind... on our souls needs to end."*
He finally starts to understand and relate to Blitz, and realize that Blitz must be in the same position as he is. They both feel shamed and judged for their relationship, and afraid to take it further because they don't know how it could work out.
But Stolas is determined to make it work, while Blitz easily cuts him off and keeps him distant because he doesn't think Stolas actually loves him because he's only an imp.
Fun fact: This song was originally a fan song by Paranoid DJ. So to be technical, the show didn't give us these lyrics, a fan of the show did.

The crystal from the beginning of the music video is the crystal Stolas got from Asmodeus. That is one of Asmodeus Crystals that allow the Succubus which are the race that are from the Lust ring a way to get to the living world.
Stolas has asked and got this crystal from Asmodeus to give to Blitzø so he does not need to borrow Stolas's Grimoire to get to the living world anymore helping Blitzø do his job more proficiently.
The fear we all have is that this is going to damage the relationship Stolas and Blitzø has as Blitzø would have no reason to go and see Stolas anymore.

I'm really scared to see which way he takes - but this was a fantastic way to show how he's struggling.

What do you mean by "helping and risking his sanity?" He got the Asmodeous crystal to give to Blitz so he wouldn't feel pressured to sleep with Stolas just to have access to the human world.
@@Orion_TheyThem blitz has a bunch of mental issues and if he does decide to stay with stolas, those issues could be detrimental to the mental health of both of them.
If you go back and watch the first episode where Stolas calls Blitz, that's all that Blitz thinks the relationship with Stolas is still, since he's unable to understand genuine affection towards him. Everyone in Blitz's life so far has either rejected by him or gotten hurt by him being a jerk as a defensive mechanism. Stolas is giving Blitz the space to have him realize that he isn't just being used for smexy times in order to go to the human realm and giving him the means to travel without his book (the crystal from Asmodeus asked for in the previous episode)
(Sorry, got tl;dr here. Didn't mean to write an essay!)
In defense of Blitzø, he's got a lot of issues opening up that he hasn't addressed. He already had self-esteem issues from how his father treated him (and constantly not being seen as funny at the circus), and then he was responsible for burning down the circus and all the fallout from that (his mom dying, Fizz being so horribly injured and seemingly not wanting to ever see him again, presumably that's where Barbie's drug addiction started that led to them falling out). He seems himself as worthless and as someone who actively makes others' lives worse (hence scribbling himself out of all of the pictures in his apartment). And yet despite thinking he doesn't deserve it and that everyone will eventually leave him, he still craves love and companionship.
He's gotten himself into an unhealthy trauma response of protecting himself from the pain of rejection by pushing others away (being toxic and cruel to them, mostly) and essentially giving them no choice but to leave to protect themselves, locking Bltizø into a self-fulfilling prophesy. I'm not in the mental health business, but just from what I've seen as a lay person it seems to be a rather common unhealthy coping mechanism that people fall into. It's bad, it just leads to things getting worse and worse, but not everyone has good coping mechanisms modeled for them and on the surface it seems to work, even though it isn't actually.
But Blitzø does care about Stolas, it's just more subtle because Blitzø it was in his bad trip when he saw Stolas up on that golden throne and crawled up to him, and didn't resist being pulled in close even though he obviously didn't like the shackles (which could represent either the deal, or his own fear of intimacy). It was in his eyes when Stolas put on that big damn heros moment to save I.M.P. from D.H.O.R.K.S., and then Blitzø was the one to offer sex as a reward. It was in the way he was devastated by Stolas hiding his face at Ozzie's, and how that led to him crying into his pillow back home, and then later trying to numb the pain with alcohol at Bee's party. It's in the way he blushed at Stolas' human disguise, and how Stolas was able to reassure him about his acting skills. And in the way he was just bluescreened by the idea that Stolas could actually get hurt, leading to the ONE TIME that he initiates a text with Stolas. It's in the pain and longing in his voice when he's venting to Fizz about how he thinks Stolas doesn't actually care about him.
The snapping string is the deal. It's like the saying, if you love something you need to let it go. Stolas needs to free Blitzø from their deal, and then if Blitzø comes back, Stolas knows that he does actually care beyond the benefit to his business. But if Stolas doesn't let him go, then Bltizø will never truly be able to fully reciprocate. It would always be tainted by Blitzø's need for the grimoire for his business.
I have my own expectations and predictions for how their next meeting will go, and no matter what it's going to be full of FEELS.

I'd like to add Stolas is partly to blame for the messiness of the relationship too. He is in a position of power over Blitzø, both because he is more powerful than him in general and because he owns the grimoire that Blitzø needs to do his job. This power imbalance means that Blitzø can't really say no to Stolas, so he can't truly consent to anything either. Until now Stolas hasn't done anything to correct this and has benefitted from this, they both have in different ways. I don't blame Stolas because he probably didn't understand it for most of the time and now this is exactly what he is trying to correct, but it is still partly his fault
Blitzo blames himself for the tragedy that happened back when him and Fizz were kids at the circus. He hates himself for it, he has no love for himself. So he just cannot imagine how anyone else could ever love someone like him.
That's why he pushes Stolas away. He says it himself. He thinks he's just a toy for Stolas. 😢
it's one of OZZIE (asmodeus) the Royal sin of Lusts crystals that Stolas asked him for, so Blitz could go to the human world without his Book.

Blitzo is complex and tragic character. He built some walls that are hard to get through. He pushes Stolas away because he hates himself and doesn't want to ruin another person's life by being in it. If you look closely at the photos in his apartment (shown in the op. Ozzie's) you can see he marked out his own face on each of them. In other words, Blitzo sees himself as trash and doesn't want to let anyone in, yet at the same time his worst fear is dying alone. Something so bad happened that he can't see that he's actually been a positive influence on the people he currently holds dear and are his world. He gave Loona a home, he helped Moxxie get out of jail and away from his horrible dad, (and I have my suspicions he met Millie through Blitzo as well), he gave a depressed Stolas hope again after a abusive loveless arranged marriage and Fizz met Asmodeus thanks to the tragic fire accident Blitzo caused.
A music video so melancholic and tragic yet so beautiful and well done, once again another song from Helluva Boss knocks it out of the park! Amazing video as always Ever!!

Oh yeah, there so many beautiful shots in this music video and I love it and the animation 2-D art style is breathtaking. and I feel really sorry for Stolas he’s so sad I just want to give him a big hug. He deserves better and to be happy i’ll be uploading my reaction soon !

Pretty sure the thread snapping wasn't meant to represent Stolas giving up on the relationship. It's meant to represent Stolas ending the contract with Blitzo so Blitzo has a choice in whether or not he stays with Stolas. That crystal Stolas was given at the beginning was the Asmodean crystal that Stolas asked Asmodeus for in the episode where Fizz and Blitzo got captured (you can see both Asmodeus's seal and his name on the box that the crystal is in), so once Stolas gives Blitzo that, Blitzo will be able to continue his business without ever interacting with Stolas ever again if he chooses.
Im just scared Stolas will just give up on life all together if he lose blitz. he has pretty much nothing, except his daughter he barely gets to see, cuz she lives mainly with his psycho ex who just wants him dead.. What if he like, manage to contact striker or smt and let him kill him. The whole show has been foreshadowing something happening to stolas, and that he's terribly depressed ever since episode 2 s1

asmodeus gave stolas his cristal (we see it in the first shots of the mv) that allows succubis to travel to the mortal realm. stolas will give it to blitz and break their full moon deal rather to show blitz that he doesn't need just s*x or to move on. we'll see.
but idk, the reason blitz pushes his away is pretty obvious as we watched the previous eps:
1. he was in love with fizz (as we see in the flashback how he wanted to confess to him at the day of the fire) and when he wanted to open his heart for once, he broke everyone's lifes. he doesn't feel like he deserves to be loved, because his loved ones are suffering bc of him.
2. he thinks that stolas sees him as a plaything for s*x and nothing more. he feels like stolas is a rich royal that don't give a sh*t about guys like him, even if it's not true.
Paranoid DJ is amazing as a song maker.

a lot already mentioned the contract cutting part but another thing to note is from prior episodes, blitzo genuinely feels like he's only viewed s a contractual obligation, just a "Im fucking a poor person" kink, he doesn't actually know he means more than just being a plaything to stolas

I’m not sure if someone already pointed this out, but I don’t think Stolas is “giving up” on Blitz. Totally understand the sad panic when they show the soul thread tearing but I believe he’s cutting their obligational bond, giving Blitz the Asomdeon Crystal will be a way for him to get to earth and do his job and not feel obligated to a business deal to use Stolas’ book. He ultimately wants Blitz to be with him because he wants to not because he has to. As he said “I must give you this choice”. It’s so beautiful how much he loves Blitz and I hope they can communicate now and be together but there’s that fear that Blitz is so closed off it won’t be well received as intended.

So the tether breaking I believe is Stolas breaking theri current contract that binds them together. He talks about making Blitz choose offering the crystal in place of the book and see if he will stay with him without the contract in place. And Stolas is terrified Blitz will leave and not look back afraid of what Blitz will choose.
Just as a little UA-cam tip! You can use the < and > keys to go frame by frame in videos. So if you wanted to go back to that gorgeous scene when Stolas takes off from the liquid surface to look at it, you can use those keys to put stolas where you want him!
I think the breaking of the bind on their souls is more linked to the Asmodean Crystal he got at the start. The only reason both of them interact is because Blitz needs Stolas' book in order to do his job, so Stolas originally used that just to have an excuse to spend more time with Blitz (him thinking Blitz was hypersexual based on the flashback in S2 E1). However, Stolas now realizes that Blitz sees this more as an obligation he is trying to fulfill, which is preventing either of them from having an actual relationship. The power is completely in Stolas' hands since in order for Blitz to do his job he NEEDS to return the book to Stolas once a month on the full moon. If Stolas gives Blitz that crystal, he will be able to travel to the living world and get his own human disguise without ever needing to interact with Stolas again. Stolas is doing this as a last ditch effort to show Blitz he isn't trying to extort him for sex or to satisfy some kink, he is giving Blitz the freedom and ability to leave Stolas permanently if that is what he chooses, basically the embodiment of "if you love him, let him go."
Also I will say this, it is cool they were able to take a fan song and make it work within the canon of the show (this song was made by Paranoid DJ 2 years ago, also with some lyrical changes and an additional chorus)
I think Stolas is obvious to everyone about his love, but I don't think he ever told Blitz, "I love you" or "I want to be with you". Reading the texts, every time Stolas wants to talk or hang out, Blitz barely responds or avoids, or cancels. I think Blitz is starting to be aware of the truth that Stolas is in love, but he keeps telling himself that its an act to get him in bed. Until he hears those words specifically, I'm not sure Blitz can comprehend that Stolas is in love with him truly and Blitz just isn't ready to accept it.
The original song title had “ (Stolas lament) “ in it
Personally I see the line breaking as not Stolas giving up but instead linked with the lyric “I must give you this choice”. I feel like it’s more symbolic as Stolas being willing to set Blitz free even though it would destroy him. I honestly don’t believe Stolas would just give up

4:43 Stolas never told blitz he loved him, we as an audience know how Stolas feels because he tells us. But with Blitz, the majority of their interactions can come off as condescending from Blitz’s point of view and feeds into Blitz’s (very) low self esteem. The few times Stolas could have shown he cared for Blitz, Stolas hid or brushed off the situation affirming to Blitz that Stolas doesn’t care about him.
I hate how at the end you see the light literally fading from Stolas's eyes As reachs up.

It's not from UA-cam, they don't do that. I see the backend of the takedowns. It's from a 3rd party the studio employs to look for copyright infringement.
It's one thing to say they love reaction content and all, but a totally separate issue to allow it to be monetized etc.
Either way, without any editing I'm not really employing the "fair use" law that allows reaction content to exist. It's wrong not to make any sort of edit.
There isn't outside information. The episodes make it clear. Stolas will end their agreement for the book and give the crystal to blitz. This gives blitz the choice on the matter.
I meant more about what is going to happen next and what episodes are on the way. People on Twitter were seemingly very confident in knowing what episodes are still to come. I know a lot of their relationship has been talked through in the show. Sorry for the confusion!

Stolas is breaking the contact that so far has bound them and fears that Blitz will leave after that he knows for both of them they need to end the forced relationship though

Remember that Stolas was the one who made it a contract. "Favors for favors." Stolas made Blitz0 his prostitute. And we know from Blitz0's first conversation with Striker that he sees it in those terms. It isn't hard to understand why whores generally disregard the "I love you"s of her johns.
The most poignant line in the song (at least to me) is the one you missed because you paused in the middle of it: "I will try to make amends for making you means to an end!" Stolas wanted sexual companionship with Bliz0, and he *bought* it. This song shows him realizing that mistake. And resolving to break that contract and give Blitz0 free will to chose without that coercion.

I think you misinterpreted the string break. He is giving blitz the chance for blitz to decide. He needs blitz to open up but with all his walls it's impossible for stolas to do it just by trying to force his way in.
