Episodes like this make you realize just how much of a broadcasting genius MacG is. Sol’s cohosting? Absolutely unmatched. We’re grateful to God and our ancestors for blessing us with this platform! 🔥
@@Nhlanhla187I think we need to refrain from creating a divide in the podcast. The producer is Dudu and she brings in the guests. The hosts conduct interviews as a team and I would like to believe that gratitude is therefore owed to the team holistically and not individuals to avoid the debates of who is better which then crips in. I also loved Ghosts role in this interview in as minimalistic as it was. This is a great team.
@@Bandise I agree they are a great team. I don't see how is my statement divisive. I know for a fact that Sol is fan of the gentleman as much as I am. I am really not sure what the fuss is all about.
Can you guys make history and give haters permanent chest pains by trying to interview Chris Brown🐐 when he comes to SA next month in December, that episode would be absolutely insane and incredible💯, because he has always been a victim of cancel culture since 2009 but has always remained uncancellable because people who love him supersedes the hate he recieves. Some people and silly organisations like “women for change” and dizzy feminists in this country have also tried to cancel him but have failed dismally and I think that his character alligns perfectly with Podcast and Chill because many have tried to cancel this beautiful and empowering podcast but failed dismally and as such it would be perfect to have Chris Brown🐐 an extremely successful and iconic black man on this successful network🔥.
Almost dismissed this interview without giving this gentleman a chance but boy am i glad that i stuck around or what!!!!! Dope interview so far...almost like a breath of fresh air!!!!
I was chilling with the guy at a car wash in rosebank this morning I didn't know him we just engaged like normal regular black folk chilled gent dou 😂😂😂
The one thing that made this interview stand out amongst the rest of the guest episodes we have had is Nduduzo's ability to see the need to educate and as soon as he saw he had to be a educator and not just a guest he then just went on and on educating Sol and Mac about a whole lot of things beyond Music. what a interview, thanks to Nduduzo for coming through
@omphiledirero5622 OMG,guy is a gem maan.and the way he kept on laughing when MacG say silly things 🤣 😂 tht was so Hilarious 😂, I'll start following the guy.i liked him.his Aura is so good.❤️
What I enjoy is that Ndu isn't only an academic teacher but the divine teacher in him appears here as well, and all this unfolds organically. Yes we're used to Mac's tangential questions, which are actually funny. These jokes punctuate serious convos and keep the youth engaged before another deep info dive. This convo is meant to spark a number of questions and have us Afrikans interrogate and rediscover ourselves from our own perspectives. Siyabonga Gxabhashe.
Such an a gentleman, well spoken, educated, well traveled, high vibrational humble human being. Thank you so much "ndabezitha" lol I appreciate you, your work and the people you walk with. Your work will indeed live with us and those to come 🙌🏿
This was truly one of the best episodes, i loved every topic. The knowledge shared by Dr Makhathini is amazing. Thank you guys for bringing him to the show i enjoyed listening to him.😍😍
I'm so glad he touched on Philip tabane and the molombo sound. I only got to know about this incredible musician when I was in the UK and the fact that I got to know about him from a YT person really showed me that as SAns we really don't know or rather appreciate the talent we have in this country 😢
I once met Luyanda Madope a jazz enthiciat that guy made me to feel so small and it really made to to have a love & hate relationship with jazz...maybe it was because he was uneducated that why🤔🤔🤔, but DR Makhathini wow wow wow such humility and grace wow wow wow !!!!!
This is a wholesome interview. Nduduzo is such a great story teller, and incredible musician. Thank you guys for bringing him to the pod!!! Absolutely amazing
I almost didn’t give this episode a chance but my oh my, am I loving it. I know nothing about this man but his spirit is so calming . The way he articulates himself is so refreshing. I have learnt a lot. Thank you 🙏
This one is definitely going to be a mind blowing experience 🙏🏿😌 Sesila for another documentation of black excellence in a form of a podcast episode 🙌🏿🙃 #MalesheWay 🔥👌🏿😀
@babalomandela6792 yeah I'm good bro, thanks for asking. Being on the live chat distracts me from listening to the interview. It's only nice on PNC because they're comedians
Wow this network is healing us I so wish they could bring out a show on Friday as well because everyday I look forward to going home and tuning into YT from Monday,Wednesday and Thursday. I haven't given Piano pulse a chance but they are dope and the Bantwinis I also enjoy them there and then but my fav are Podcast n chill and PNC ❤❤❤.
Xa sithetha ecaleni, audibly, the tonality and cadence Nduduzo Makhathini speaks with is very close to Black Coffee’s. So interesting. I feel that if we were all in the dark and they both spoke at the same time I would have a high possibility of mistaking one for the other. Interesting that they are friends. I wonder if they noticed, if anyone noticed or if I am in my own corner. 🤔
This podcast to me as a jazz student is still evolving to adapt to these issues, I am really happy to acknowledge that we have studied something very interesting. All I can say, Jazz is really a happy space to be around. I also live the expression each artist we look up to is able to teach it well to us. Thank you for the knowledge you deposited at the time we had you around. Great inspiration.
This episode deserves over 666k views, too much knowledge dished out. We need part 2 of this, we are spiritual beings and we must not forget where we are coming from. Danko PnC.
Interesting chat. One thing, though, as abantu. If we really want to connect and go back. Our languages are a big part. It just doesn't work ngalesi ngisi.
I love that Nduduzo discusses displacement at the 46-minute mark. He also contributed a composition to Lindokuhle Sobekwa's work-a photographer who embarked on a journey to find his sister after she got lost. This personal loss led Sobekwa to explore themes of belonging and identity. Hearing Nduduzo’s music in the exhibition currently at the Johannesburg Gallery added an incredible layer to this story.
Probably one of my best episodes so far, this Man is full of knowledge and wisdom as African people we need more of such conversations about US as a black nation enough about the colognes, and religion that came in a form of a book and was forced to us thank you for this team 🙌🏽👏❤
Nduduzo such and phenomenal spiritual person translates into his music ... him and his wife are higher calling as spiritual artists/healer. Love his performances music.
The whole of yanos and chill is a classic, very spiritual songs that you didn't push mac, only chillers i assume appreciated the album, but i feel the country deserved to hear the message in that album. Astonishing album, it changed my life!
The decolonization he speaks of relates so much with my study to decolonize Agricultural Science curriculum. Plurality of knowledges, languages and rituals. Great Scholar this one ❤
Even if this interview was 6 hours I was gonna listen till the end❤it’s not an everyday thing where we got to watch interviews like these. Big up MacG and Sol

His voice , pronunciation and vocab. You'd think it was Black Coffee if this was a radio interview.
He does sound like Coffee for real.
💯 correct I though it was him as well hearing the voice
True
Wooww I didn't expect this interview to be so educational 😭🔥🔥Thank you Dudu for bringing the Legend on the podcast 😭❤️🤍
This guy is crazy on the piano Kabza would die a real death here. Don’t take chances. I’ve been following his work for a long time. He is him.
This guy plays pure piano,
He is just being humble. Plus he wants to work with the new generation of musicians & don't want to come across as being arrogant or intimidating.
Nduduzo is so funny. What a great human being, humility through and through. Not to mention his music.
This guy is a genius
