Yes we eat kangaroo. Kangaroo in supermarkets is professionally hunted or culled (certain types of kangaroo are protected, but others are not). Kangaroo is a very healthy meat, with virtually no fat content and is typically a very dark red colour. I think it has the highest iron content of any meat. The lack of fat is why it can be difficult to cook properly. It's also a very gamey tasting meat. It can be found in most supermarkets here, but isn't overly popular. See previous "gamey" comment... They are usually hunted on permits as they compete for grazing land with cattle and sheep. Kangaroos can be very aggressive Ie. the males especially protecting females with joeys. Kangaroos have sharp claws on their front (upper) paws that you see them 'boxing' with, but the rear paws have large sharp claws that can rip a dog's belly open. They are pretty stupid when it comes to cars and traffic, but they are smart enough to lure dogs into a dam and use their front paws to hold the dogs head underwater and drown them. They are a wild animal which is why their meat is so lean and why the males especially can be very strong and muscular. The red kangaroos (more central and western Australia) are typically the largest, but even a big male grey (eastern) kangaroos can look you in the eye at 6ft tall.

3rd comment, at least 600+ languages I you include all the indigenous languages. You can find maps of the languages and traditional countries on Google. Those maps have been around for ages. Huntsman spiders are massive and their bites hurt but they're pretty docile, if not skittish. They can take a punishing if you really have no over choice to kill them. Got one in my car I call Gavin. Camels do not have hooves. The foot of a camel is made up of a large leathery pad, with two toes at the front, the bones of which are embedded in the foot. The padding makes the gait of a camel silent, and keeps it from sinking in the sand.
Kangaroo attacks aren't that common though if you are driving along at night a few hours away from any major city they can sometimes jump in front of a car. This will usually kill the kangaroo and can injure a human in the vehicle as well as damaging the actual car.
Kangaroos are in country areas. They rarely harm you unless you aggravate them. Generally they stay away. The main problem is having a car collision with a big one of them on a country road, usually around dawn or dusk when it's feeding time. That can cause serious damage to the car, passengers and/or kangaroo. I heard one story of a kangaroo that was hit and came through a front car window into the back seat where it severely scratched and bruised the passengers in it's frenzied attempt to get ou.t I've had one very close call when a big male jumped onto the side of the road and would have slammed into my car except it was somehow able to jump sideways away from my car. Phewwww! If you are near an aggressive kangaroo it will box and kick you, causing serious injuries.
yes camels are hooved but they are not indigenous to Australia, they were brought out here in 1840 and went wild in the outback and deserts. Have seen many kangaroos in my life but the biggest was at the Old Trial Bay Gaol at South West Rocks, he was lying down in the sun, he was as big as a horse and his mussels were huge, his eye was as big as a large egg, he was drawing a crowd, many of us trying to take a photo but at the same time, scared for our lives
Kangaroo meat is high in protein, low in fat . In West AUSTRALIA we had limits on amounts of spuds you could grow ,(quota system)so the market couldn't be monopolised. This law no longer exists. Potatoes in larger quantities, if stored incorrectly, can lead to fatalities. Toxic fumes .

Kangaroo meat extremely high in protein with very low fats. Kangaroo meat are absolutely good for people undergoing chemotherapy where there red blood cells is low or anyone suffer anaemia. The red meat of the kangaroo will help boast human red blood cells level.
The law regarding potatoes dates back to rationing during ww2. And no they don't enforce it.
Free health care and 4 weeks paid annual leave 20 days sick leave and maternity leave and a minimum. Wage and virtually no gun deaths
Oh and your right, Western Australia has that potato law & the potatoes law in Western Australia was introduced in 1946, when post-war food security and the Great Depression were pressing political issues.
yes we sure do hunt and eat kangaroo's but i normally buy kangaroo meat from the shopping centers or butchers =)
fun fact you might not know, australia had a war with emus, and the funny thing is. WE LOST
Camels have Hooves . They also are NOT native . Brought here by Afghanis .
Yes , we DO eat Kangaroo . Not a Lot , but it is on the Menu . And Emu and Crocodile .
Platypus' "nick-name" is the Beaver Duck . Platypus is Aquatic , so makes sense .
Watch the wording. Yes, Australia the Continent does not any active volcanos, but Australia the country does. There's a couple on some of the islands (McDonald Island).
Aussie Aussie Aussie
An Australian invented the black box. He died recently, in his 90s. We also invented wifi and the combine harvester. 2 of our doctors won the Nobel prize for discovering the cause AND cure of stomach ulcers. We invented the bionic ear. Howard Florey was a major part of inventing penicillen. Fleming stole his thunder. An Aussie doctor discovered that lithium worked for some mental illnesses. Its said we punch way above our weight in the inventions department. They say its because of our isolation. We've invented a lot of things. Look it up
Also the Lawnmower and the Hills Hoist clothesline.
Noticed him about 3 months ago. He's cool. Funnel webs are mad pricks though, that's why huntsman's are good. Clean them bastards up
we have 3 of the best sports, Rugby League, AFL and Cricket, that doesnt mean other sports are crap, just not as good
There is a mob of Kangaroos that live on the grounds of my Grandsons school and the local Sunshine Coast university. Many of the Roos move around onto suburban properties . Sadly too many have been killed by speeding cars in the area
Our Coat of Arms is the two animals that can't walk backwards.
Parramatta (city) was classed the most multicultural city in the world, housing 194 out of 198 nationalities on the planet.
Camels aren't native to Australia, but they have hooves. No native animals have hooves is what he said.
Not true. I live in an outer suburb of Melbourne and the Roos regularly jump along our major roads.
Yes. We do hunt and also eat kangaroos. They taste like steak, only tougher.
yes camels are hooved but they are not indigenous to Australia, they were brought out here in 1840 and went wild in the outback and deserts.
Australia has the longest national highway in the world. 9,000 miles.
Yes. We have a shittonne of kangaroos. Yes, at times we will see them in our backyards. NO. WE DO NOT EVER RIDE THEM.
We also have a pink lake in Queensland. Way easier to get to, but smaller. On Fraser Island. Same deal- fucking weird algae.
We do hunt and eat kangaroo. Theyre a massive population so nobody complains about it.
Kangaroo attacks arent common, theyre usually scared of humans. They will defend their young though if you move towards them.
Emu and Kangaroo, tasty as!
You might wanna research how good they are for you.
Far as I know we are the only country which eats it's coat of arms
camels were a introduce Animal in 19 century and released in the wild when they were no longer needed and that why Austrlai still has them, due to not much in the way of predators and disease and that goes with the other feral animals
Australian camels are highly prized in the Middle East.
Camels do have hooves but they are an introduced species from the Middle East.
Thank you for say eemyoo rather than eemoo for emu (unlike the guy in the video).
There is no Dingo fence.
You have a video showing a roo stepping backward in your collection. He was play fighting with an aboriginal guy.
I’ve not heard of a dingo fence, only the rabbit proof fence.
Native animals. Don’t tell anyone but we totally have unicorns here. We just hide them from foreigners.
Camels have pads for traveling over sand in desserts
There is pet kangaroo mince for dogs and cats here so I imagine theres a lot of ways they get rid of them
Well there are 2 less kangaroos in Australia today as I hit 2 last night in my truck. :)
ouch....that would have done some damage...they don't bounce lightly off your vehicles....
