Definitly one of the most unique metal album of 2023 for sure. Kinda like if Meshuggah, Polyphia, Animals as Leaders and Periphery had an hyperactive child. Truly amazing stuff
Since you were saying you were on more of a pop vibe lately, maybe check out their last album Gold! It's my favorite work of theirs and it has some really beautiful catchy riffs and melodies even though it's not at all a metal record
I've another recommendation if you're a fan of Leprous, Agent Fresco, Haken, and just Prog Metal done really well: The album "Counterintuitive" by the band Ions. They're a Czech band that released this album last year. Went straight here to comment on it because Spotify showed me this masterpiece only today. I am confident you will love the album.
Unprocessed does some cool things, but I can't say that I like any song in its entirety. Blackbone has one of the best solos I've heard in a long time but I don't care for much of what comes before it. Pop music sensibilities in the vocals work great in metal but pop sensibilities in the guitar sound odd in these songs.

Was hoping to see your reaction to the Blackbone solo! All good, great reaction! I've been playing for over 20 years and you ear always impresses me.
There's guitar and bass playthroughs for both hell and lore on unprocessed's channel. They'd clear up what's bass and whats guitar for you
I saw them in a tiny theater in Portland, Or earlier this month, they delivered it flawlessly live. Great Band!

Interesting. It really works for me but I can definitely see it not working for everybody
You skiped the best parts 😵💫
Vocals in metal man …80% a disappointment. Sad
