+Jonathan Wilson True, but Iwerks was gone long before (in fact not even 1930) Disney stopped animating Mickey with his 'dot-eye' design. Screen Gems employed a lot of former (as well as possibly future) Disney animators, such as Howard Swift and Chic Otterstrom. The quality of the studio's animation I would argue can typically ALMOST compete with Disney, more often than not it was really that good. It's a shame the content of these shorts weren't nearly as good on average.
1:28 A Musical Revenge on PBS for not inviting Renée Zellweger, Jim Cummings, Justin Long and Josh Gad to Xavier Riddle's Party. MGM will fix PBS if Reese Witherspoon doesn't voice Elanor in Elinor Wonders Why. Note: all Screen Gems Cartoons (including the Color Rhapsody cartoons) are owned by Apple, Inc. via Columbia TriStar Studios, not me.
Release date, you mean. There were no regular TV schedules at the time, as it was still in the experimental stage. And movie studios were reluctant to allow those stations on the air back then to present ANY current features, cartoons, et. al.
These bats are a cross between spooky and cute.
Owls really do sometimes eat bats.
Thanks for uploading. I've been searching for this cartoon for a long time. I really love it since childhood :D
I don't think I saw it when I was a kid (1960s)..Those were pretty obwcure
That dumb owl to think 💭 he can out smart 🤓 the bats
It's really funny 😂
Yes! UB Iwerks is still working in 1940!
Wow! great upload. See elements of skeleton dance, (in the bat's choreography), a very early Iwerks cartoon!
Those bats are so cute!^^
Love that bat dance music!
Those bats' faces somewhat resemble Mickey Mouse.
+classicsguy626 Well, it *is* Ub Iwerks, so.....
