The ComiColor Cartoon Complete Compilation | 1930's

- The ComiColor Cartoon series is a series of 25 animated short subjects produced by the Ub Iwerks studio from 1933 to 1936. The series was the last produced by the studio; after losing distributor Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1934, the Iwerks studio's senior company Celebrity Pictures (run by Pat Powers) had to distribute the films itself. The series was shot exclusively in Cinecolor.
Most of the ComiColor entries were based upon popular fairy tales and other familiar stories, including Jack and the Beanstalk, Old Mother Hubbard, The Bremen Town Musicians, and The Headless Horseman. Grim Natwick, Al Eugster, and Shamus Culhane were among the series' lead animators/directors, and a number of the shorts were filmed using Iwerks' multiplane camera, which he built himself from the remains of a Chevrolet automobile.

Never heard of them until today. In this day and time they probably would considered racist in our screwed up society. I'm so glad that I'm not a BIGIT.
Thanks for the list. 👍
The dancing and choreography is magnificent. Everybody was so talented back then. Even the animals could dance! It would have been amazing to have grown up back then. 😃
The really old cartoons are some of my favorites!! Like Felix the Cat and Little Lulu !
I, too, like little Lulu,AND little audrey; wonderful tomboys. Old cartoons are great, all right! Anything I grew up with is great! Like crusader rabbit, Gumby, etc.
Very Kool! Luv the old UB iwerks and stuff
Me too!
Ubbe Ert Iwwerks was a friend of Walt Disney after they met whilst working at an art studio in Kansas City and subsequently worked for Walt Disney Animation Studios until he and Walt had a falling out in 1930. He then went on to form the UB Iwerks Studio. Ubbe was very much a part of Mickey Mouse's development and the early Mickey was based on his sketches. He was a major influence on Disney's fledgling animation art.
i member seeing cartoons like this In the late 70s early 80s, they were little side cartoons in between movies on superchannel
Half of the ComiColor cartoons were re-released by Castle Films in the 1940’s including “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp”, “Jack Frost”, “Headless Horseman”, “Jack Frost”, “Balloon Land (aka ‘The Pincushion Man’)”, “Mary’s Little Lamb”, “Puss In Boots”, “ Dick Whittington’s Cat”, “Don Quixote”, “The King’s Tailor”, “Simple Simon” and “Little Black Sambo” in both color and black & white.
The black & white versions of ComiColor cartoons that Castle Films distributed are rare.
awesome
@@MoneMedia This is my first time heard and saw ComiColor Cartoons. I will do time stamps and if you give me enough time I will finish them.
I like the old cartoons from 1930s
Thank you for uploading these. They're important pieces of history (yes, even the banned one!)
Oh man! This is such a good collection! Thanks mone you the man, cereal time tomorrow is gonna rule!
You bet!
Jack Frost is so legendary, King of Cartoons once played it on Pee Wee's Playhouse. I love that it keeps the same musical melody throughout (the beavers preparing for hibernation, the scarecrow, etc).
balloon land as well on his orig
Watched these with my kids when they were little. Seemed old then. 😂
If you didn’t post these old animations, I would have never known that they existed! Thank You❤
You bet!
I watch the Mary little lamb cartoon every single night before bed. I watch it every night and still cry laughing like ive never seen it before 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's right! Build that library!! I'll come to this channel to watch all my cartoons!! Currently, I'm watching Kimba, The White Lion. For cartoon sho r ts, you can't beat Terry Toons!!!!
❤
LOL The Summertime cartoon is pretty much exactly what early spring feels like. :) I'm enjoying this compilation!
I love Ub Iwerks Cartoon: with Flip the Frog, Willie Whopper and ComiColor Cartoon ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍!
I had some of these cartoons on VHS. The Happy Days had a line I used to laugh at and still do.

Kid 1: Gee, I bet it’ll go a mile per minute.
Sales Person: Oh it can go better than that. I’m afraid to open it up.
Pinhead: Yeah, the moths might fly out.
😂😂😂
The Aladdin one reminds me of the Popeye the Sailor version of the tale. Also VERY shocked to see some sort of nudity, the Princess bathing, from so far back. 🥴
@gjtrue
The Princess is Only Bare from the waist up. What's More Shocking is the Betty Boop Cartoon IS MY PALM READ . Betty Boop Looks into the Crystal Ball and Sees Herself as Baby Taking a Bath. She stands up & squirts Herself with a Sponge . Betty Boop is Completely in the BUFF. Fortunately the Animators Didn't Draw Her Privates or Her Belly Button She wasn't Drawn Anatomically Accurate. But Still Considered One of the Most Risqué Pre Hayes Code Betty Boop Cartoons.

@@MoneMedia somebody put out a video game maybe 8 years ago? in this style. it looks pretty cool. id have to ask the youngest AGAIN, what the name of it is.
@@camcordernonsense5264 I'm pretty sure you're talkikng about Cuphead.
I love 💞 these old cartoons they're the best and the greatest i got these on dvd.
This soundtrack sounds incredible.
This is great because hopefully it’ll get kids interested in the books these are based off of
You’re the master Mone! ✌️❤️
I need this on a disc set🔥
I love the Aladdin one lol especially w/ the Betty boop belly dancers in it
Iwerks was a master animator, but just couldn't find a home after leaving Disney. After MGM dropped them and Celebrity failed, both he and musical director Carl Stalling ended up at Warners. Iwerks only stayed a few months, but Stalling ended up staying until his retirement.
Thank you so much for posting all of these!
No worries!
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL !!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Happy Saturday 🎉🎆 thank you for another banger 🎭⏳

Aladdin and the wonderful Lamp was animated by Grim Natwick . Fun Fact Grim Natwick is True Creator of Betty Boop Not Max Fleischer. Grim Natwick designed Betty Boop to be the Love interest of Bimbo the Dog in Dizzy Dishes Betty Boop's Debut.

I had that message for a hour or so as well. But I can watch it now.

THE CURE FOR HUMANITY!
"And Jesus answered him, The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29-31!

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Revelation 20:15!
REPENT AND RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR TO HAVE YOUR NAME SECURED IN HIS BOOK OF LIFE.!
The alternative is unthinkable.
Thinking of making a cartoon out of that?
This was an effort to sell the inferior Cinecolor process. Two interesting facts: Iwerks was not a good director according to his own animators, and he had a multiplane camera before Disney (but after Fleischer) which he reportedly built out of the back of an old Chevy.
Not so inferior when it has more to showcase than Technicolor. Both Dufay, Cinecolor, multicolor, Kodachrome, and many other processes showed far more realistic variety. Both cinecolor and multicolor have real shots in color of cities and events from 1930-1931. Extremely rare.
Great Stuff!!!
I see where Disney got inspiration for their Aladdin music 60 years later. Give it a listen and tell me you can't hearths "Prince Ali" theme. Well, Disney was stealing from Ub for years, I suppose.
Walt Disney died to 90s (in 60s)
No I don't hear the similarity.
