    The brittania is a great coin to buy in England. Because its considered legal currency in England, if you sell it anytime in the future - like it doubles in price as gold goes up .... no tax will be payable. You could have a 100k worth and a not a penny in tax would be owed anytime in the future.

      Sovereigns are also underrated- very historic and very low premium for a fractional coin.

    You might already be aware of this, but I thought it would be worth sharing -- I love your presentation of the show. Your intro is clean, the music is well put together, and your speech is clear and well-understood. I don't have a hard time following along. You enunciate your words clearly, and speak from a straightforward experienced coin stacker/collector would. Thank you for the insight! Also, no crazy political nonsense that really has nothing to do with this process.

    I think you make a good point about gold bars. I commented recently on one of your videos where I ordered a 1oz cast bar from the Perth Mint (the new serialized one) and I was all excited. Once I opened it up I quickly realized that while I liked the shine, I was disappointed and didn’t care for it. All within an hour of first holding it. I called my LCS and asked if he has any 2021 gold Maples or Britannias available and he told me he should have some in next week. So I’m gonna give it a few days and head down there and trade the bar for one of those and just pay the extra $40ish difference. I bought it solely on price and the dip in spot last week but yeah you are right, I’ll stick to coins lol

      What was the price difference between the bullion and the coin. Consider the reason for the gold you purchase. What was yours? Coins are pretty but lose value if scratched or marked. Bullion can be cut into pieces and sold separately to pay for other things without any lost value.

      I'm not a US tax expert ( I have a US company with US liabilities so have to know the basics) but I would have thought De Facto if not De Jure that Sovereigns won't get walloped with US capital gains. But then one of the good people if Canada pointed out that as Sovereigns aren't Tripple 9 fine they wouldn't be considered investment grade and therefore liable for tax. The smaller the Coin does not always lead to a higher premium. The British Gold Sovereign contains .2345 Troy Ounces of Gold but has a premium around that of a full Ounce Gold Eagle. It may take a little longer to sell them in the U.S. but you will still get an excellent price for them and be able to unload them without too much difficulty.

Lastly, I'd like to see hear/see your explanation of the "Lost in a Boating Accident" term... I first heard it from one of your older videos and now on R/wallstreetsilver, every other post is of stackers showing their stack and say something to the affect of "too bad about that tragic boating accident" (sic) ... I can infer a "deeper" story behind it and it would make an entertaining channel topic. Thanks as always! Joe

    Great informative once again mate, my first stop for all my gold info! I'm in the UK and sadly our premiums seem far higher than in the US, its more like 10% on an ounce coin unless you really shop around or buy on the 2nd hand market. I've very recently diversified from strictly silver and started adding gold to my stack, I can thank/blame you for that! 😉 So far I've got a 1/20th George slaying the dragon from an obscure Welsh mint, a 1/10th Britannia and a beautiful half ounce Britannia just turned up today, just the quarter and the full ounce and I have the full set of four. How do you feel about gold bars? Not as nice to look at but as an investment they seem to have the lowest premium per ounce, looking at a 100g bar at the mo, that is only 2.5% over spot, which is extremely competitive over here! Cheers!

    • @2is1gold
      @2is1gold  3 роки тому +2

      I stay away from the bars, but that’s based on potential buyers here. They’re harder to move because people want to have them verified. Could be totally different there, though. Nice work in your current pick ups! Cheers!

      @@2is1gold Ah yes of course, you're right, I'll conduct some enquiries but I expect its the same here in that case, I guess I could buy the Pamp bars in the Veri-scan packs, however their premiums are truly eye watering so I wouldn't be gaining anything. Coins it is then! 😊
