World class?? Gimme a break. His champions league win with chelsea was impressive but everything else wasn't particularly noteworthy. World class is SAF, pep, klopp, anchelotti, Emery, Tuchel isn't there yet, not to say he never will but as of right now he isn't.

As a German: You guys got the best German coach for your project. Congratulations. I will watch every game now. Tuchel is a very meticulous coach and wants to know everything about the opponent, which makes him to an absolute mastermind of tactics. He also wants his players to be focused on the task and if he loves some players (like Dembele for example) they will make a difference and step up in the perfect moment to carry a team. Don’t let the Bayern Munich incident distract you from his real personality. Bayern Munich is a toxic environment. I think he can handle the noise in England due to the Bayern part of his career. Also he will have more time to focus and work in the background. I‘m sure this will be a huge upgrade compared to Southgate-Football.

Tuchel is one of the few coaches that I can just sit and hear them speak for hours and not get bored. Fantastic appointment. Clear favourites for WC '26
England have been 1 of the favourites in every tournament no matter the manager and we always disappoint I won't be shocked when we lose in the semi or quarter finals

@@philbarton2832an English coach has never won the prem and hasn’t won a trophy since Harry redknapp in 2008. If we want to win now we have to look internationally for world class managers as domestically Howe and possibly potter are the only decent ones.

France have/had other mids that did similar to kante like matuidi tchoumeni etc no one does like pogba dis, they severely lack creativity

I am firmly convinced that Thomas Tuchel, with his tactical and factual football expertise, can solve this task excellently. England have never had so many highly talented selection players. Just waiting to be formed into a strong unit. However, Tuchel still needs a competent goalkeeper for his team.
Ecstatic with this to be honest. This appointment is 10x better than anyone I thought we'd get. Big manager with big success. The whole idea of "England needs an English manager!" doesn't sit with me considering that English football is dominated by international owners, managers and players. So why should we be so strict with the English role?
It’s the national team so it should be an Englishman leading the team. However, it isn’t, and I like the rest of us am extremely pleased we have someone of pedigree. There aren’t any Englishmen of the required pedigree unfortunately. Potter and Howe? Give me a break

But tbh I don’t get why the squad and coaching staff don’t have to be from the nation they are representing. Just from a logical consistency pov
@@24euto be honest I think this is meant for ‘smaller’ teams who may lose out by not have suitable coaches at such a level. I’m just guessing. But the fact that England are doing this, albeit a world class appointment, is perhaps indicative of issues regarding giving home grown coaches chances.
