Love it 👏👍 took one out for a test drive last week couldn’t get enough drive was superb in all modes perfect for the wife on daily use and fun for myself when I’m behind the wheel ordered one in Phantom Black with M Pro Pack + Technology Pack car ready mid November to collect 🙌😎👌
I like the M135, it's too bad we won't get it in the USA. Is it built on the same platform as the Mini? Basically a FWD platform with a transverse engine, but with AWD added?
I wasn’t expecting such a positive review. I still remember how much you didn’t like the X2 M35 which shares everything with the new m135. Thanks for the review
F40 owner here... May be my bias opinion but I feel this could've looked better if it was closer in looks to the X2 m35i. The F40 grill is nothing to rave about but it still looked like a BMW. This however IMO has lost the plot. The lights look somewhat sad, aren't as aggressive as other models. The lack of indents also doesn't give it that iconic BMW meanness. Waiting to see this F70 with a splitter, canards, a spoiler, etc... then maybe i will like it more but for now in all honesty i wouldn't upgrade. Back looks amazing though there i can't hate. Outside of the new display interior is lacking for me. Great review tho very honest which i love about your channel.
Hey Horatiu, nice yo see you on the old Continent. Great review as usual! You should go to Romania one of these days and try the Transfagarasan Road. Cheers from Luxembourg 🇱🇺
@@bmwblog True - I'm running stage 2 set up with various upgrades, so when is comes to performance, its slightly outshines this new model -fun . This however is very different when it comes to "comforts" - Driven the 240i as well, also a wonderful car. Im also still havent gotten used to this wide display, dont like it at all right now. Maybe it will grow on me.
That front-end is just one big fxck-up. The shape of the headlights, the DRL, the kidney grill, the front bumper…it does not look aggressiv or dynamic in any way. It‘s just not coherent.
I´m a German in Germany. My Opinion: ( I´m a very big friend of BMW ) It´s not a "right" BMW, only 4 Zylinders, no iDrive Controller and design like "LEGO" . Many people in Germany think so.
Hatchback used to be for boy Racers but this is for grown-ups. Starting price in the UK £41,000 and if you want m technology pack £43,000. The days are gone when you used to get value for your money like with your 135i/ 140i 😢
I’m just here to read the comments of the cry babies and the ones that judges everything in this world by looks. GREAT PIECE OF ART! I love the innovation 🎉
@@bmwblog I sold BMW in Florida and Remember clearly the disappointment.. the M2 (2020) felt better the X5 surprisingly felt more accurate… the steering was (G20) was not confidence inspiring but for 95 % of owners they don’t know the difference or have every driven the more direct feel and joy of balance chassis.. my favorite surprisingly was Z40i with engine way back from front shocks was almost mid engine felt best , most balanced
I am glad the BMW design team is gone! Exterior and interior design of BMW have been a disaster for years! If BMW can Bring The E39 M5 design language back, BMW will sell more cars!
@@bmwblogit can drive like a dream, but if it looks as hideous as it does, then it makes the driving experience irrelevant in my personal opinion. Really disappointing design.
Looks like some sort of weird, uglier Fiesta... The designers at BMW have truly lost it and not only with this model... All this new lineup is shaping up to be the absolutely ugliest, non-BMW looking crap in the brand's history. Only the rear is ok-ish on this one. What a shame...

What do you think of the new BMW 1 Series?
Love it 👏👍 took one out for a test drive last week couldn’t get enough drive was superb in all modes perfect for the wife on daily use and fun for myself when I’m behind the wheel ordered one in Phantom Black with M Pro Pack + Technology Pack car ready mid November to collect 🙌😎👌
The interior looks stunning love the new steering wheel. Not sure on the exterior doesn’t have that mean look other 1 series had
Thank you as always! I love hot hatch. I can't wait for delivery my M135 with iconic glow grill.
Which color?
@@bmwblog Frozen portimao blue. I'm gonna wait until 2025 March production...
@@Nao-p1uwaiting 6 months + to get that! Sorry man, everyone has different tastes but for me and a lot of bmw fans that looks ugly
Mine arrives in November
@@GBFeb72 Great. Have fun! I'm gonna wait to be released an option including iconic glow.
Is this Kia Ceed old model Facelift ?
Focus or Fiesta… from BMW!?
🤣🤣🤣🤣Definitely one of the two! I hate the looks of it
It's grown on me. Want one
I've loved the look of it the first time I saw it
Golf 8 R is the benchmark ❤

300 hp fr the 2.0 B48....why they haven't done that yet with the 1-series' bigger siblings, like the 330/530?
3 and 5 series are their mainstream cars. Hence the reliability and warranty claim is more important than tuning up further.
Thanks for the review! Is the steering actually heavy enough in "Sport" mode?
As heavy as it can get these days :) It's not an M car, but it's got decent feedback
@@bmwblog thanks for the feedback!

Thank you. Fun fact though: I was born 30 km from that road 😉
What is the DCT box like and the performance given it's down 50Nm as well?
It was good actually. I think the rpm band changed so didn't feel the lower torque
Very objective. No mentioning regarding fake sounds. Also, how many m badges have you counted? You can do better than that!
The fake sound has been there for years. Nothing new. Lots of badges. Forgot to count them
interior is ok,, exterior is like KIA or HONDA. mazda 3 is much better. The bmw 1 serie in the past is much much better.
Needs to be sold in America. Would be awesome competition to the Civic Type R or Golf R
Won't sell though. Likely too expensive
In Australia these 135 is not sold well compared to S3 and golfR. When you see Cupra in America you will want one.
Kia ceed, but interior is very good. I will go on with my 2016 118i rear wheel 8zf legend. Thanks
I've got a 2018 118i with 8ZF and I wouldn't swap it for this F70 abomination [even though it's much more powerful]
Which MINI is this underneath?
No MINI underneath
BMW make Minis... Mini doesn't make BMWs
Love my 08 135i Coupe MT - havent liked another 1 series shape since.

It is rediculous to complain about the quality of the interior as it is very good in this claas. Leaves me questionimg your judgement…
Maybe, but for 70K euros, I think some things could have been better
Notice how none of the new uploaded reviews this week have included outside exhaust sounds....
Because it’ll be pants, just like the F40.. that can be changed however
Honestly, no time. But we did publish a short exhaust sound on Instagram

New Ford Fiesta just dropped? Nice.
Bring it to America
BMW needs to stop slapping the m branding on everything they can it loses the value of the name should only be m2-m8
Such a lovely Kia! I like how you put an effort to say something good about this "car"!
Can someone ecplain to me.
