One of the very best episodes in my opinion. Dean and Jerry had such a good time in this one and it really shows. They were as close as two people could get in these early years and it makes for some great entertainment to see the chemistry between them. You just can't help but love em!

Their chemsitry is really off the charts. The more shows and movies I watch, I'm quite blown away by it. I've not really seen anything like it since.

This seems like a pretty-pretty creative opening skit idea having a conversation with the screen version of themselves (for sure Jerry's idea) --- done really well too.

Dave Brown “Life-size television” Seems like Dean and Jerry were some sixty years ahead of their time, because it’s taken modern technology this long to catch up with their idea!

@ 40:23 Jerry ad libbing at his best!
Oh and Jerry singing in "his own legitimate voice" is quite fine.
Dean and Jerry were unique. They made their marks. They are missed.
    RIP, guys 💗💗

Carol Taylor I love Dean’s line “You oughta be out of your nitwit!” Judging by the look on Jerry’s face, I think that must have been an ad-lib because it didn’t seem like it was what he was expecting Dean to say😆

Right I love that ad lib! The one "get out of here and get me some money too" is a great one as well! 😍🤗💗

This was one of their best shows - they were WAY on top of the heap - and they looked happy, cool, and relaxed throughout. Great sketches. Terrific ending with Jerry's legit singing and the dance routine. They were never better than as a team. They showed a range of incredible talent they didn't show as single acts where they became more caricatures of themselves. I wish they could have found a way to team up occasionally after the break-up. Anything they did together would have been #1. They were the best in show business, in my opinion. They could do it all. And they did it all incredibly well.

When they were the hottest act Jerry Lewis always was working his heart out for MDA. I think it is a shame that he is not being remember in a more positive light. Great man. Yes some flaws, but we all do without raising billions and bringing attn to so many that needed it.

When i was a kid i don't think i quite realized that Jerry's voice wasnt his real voice. When I fiest heard him talk with a regular, lower voice (recently) I was stunned! 😂 He really is something.

I reckon that around @ 36:00, we see the first signs of professional jealousy between Dean & Jerry.
Jerry could truly sing in his proper voice & I don't think Dean was exactly expecting that reaction from the audience to that extent.

Dean was upset that he was ignored by the press and critics but it was jerry who got jealous when people laughed at Dean. Norman Lear who was a writer on the show talked about Jerry jealousy

Guy Pseudonym I agree - why else would the suitcase have been on the stage in the first place? And I have also seen Dean do the same bit with the Rat Pack, when Frank and Sammy sang a song together (I think it was Me and My Shadow) at the Sands while he was left alone at the back of the stage with seemingly nothing to do.
