Acheron was fighting an illusion created by Sparkle, which is why the buildings in the background are weird and there was a glow around Blade, Kafka, and Silver Wolf when they appeared. Some backstory for Huohuo, since she is one of the most misunderstood characters; She has had a Heliobus, an energy parasite, attached to her for most of her life after it ate her tail when she was a kid (Which, for the record, clearly stunted her growth as she is well past the adult Foxian age going by Yukong's companion questline, and her 25 year old daughter that is noted as an adult, and taller than Huohuo. She is a good reminder that no one is as they seem in the Xianzhou, assume everyone is a few decades older than you unless proven otherwise) Despite being on the scared side, she is recognized as being skilled enough by the Ten Lord's Commission to make her a Judge, a position that may take most 500 years. She got to that point working there for 38 years, so they clearly have high hopes for her continued potential, likely their only Foxian Judge as they have a lifespan of about 300 years. She may be a scaredy cat, but she gets her job done regardless, she is one of my favorite characters with how surprisingly deep her character is.
Fun Fact: The reason why Boothill uses alternate versions of swear words was, during a maintenance stop. he was infected by IPC malware that replaced his expletive database.

i'm really enjoying watching your reactions!! i ended up starting hsr this year april because of a character i was particularly intruiged by (aventurine) as well as the storyline for the patch update at the time! it's been such a nice experience, and star rail has a surprising amount of content constantly running, so there's always something to do. i don't play the endgame modes as much but i LOVE the story, plot and lore! i hope you're able to have a nice time with it if you start! + i love your character model design, it's so pretty! and your vibes are great!

For Belabog, the name is more of a coincidence because it means something in another language (At least we assume). Himeko for example has appeared in Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact, as well as Acheron and some others, with fans theorizing about other characters.
It’s a single universe, with each planet separated by energy barriers. It being a multiverse is a common misconception, genshin and hi3 are just “hidden” from the Aeons by their higher authorities, and thus exist in a vacuum.

Each planet in Honkai Star Rail is not separated by a barrier, space ships travel between them all the time in that universe, and there's a literal mobile fleet. They aren't flying here and there around the Imaginary Tree. Hoyo keeps using terms in concert with each other like Universe and World. Each "World" is not a planet, but world as in another universe, hence the term that THEY used, 'Bubble Universe'.

Additionally, once again in chapter 6, it’s stated that hi3’s sol system is within the same cluster of galaxies as HSR, just hidden from the Aeons by Finality. I was of the same opinion as you until chapter 6 came out and it clarified things. I do actually think this change is for the better, though. It certainly dampens god awful power scaling arguments and is actually an interesting concept, even though I was partial to the old imaginary negentropy model. (Which isn’t to say it doesn’t still exist: it just works on a smaller scale now)
