I use warm soapy water and run it thru the tube. I like to attach the bite valve and use the magnet to hang the hose on my fridge and have it drip out onto a towel to dry.
Yes it does. I don't put the bottle there because I just put it where the tubes angle would be best. It can't fall over when the hose is in it. It has one tiny hole for pressured release. It's so small that it really does not leak at all. I'm sure that's too much info. Let me know if that helps or you need more info.
