Good evening JEFF, we too having cooler weather. Weekend will be hot 🔥 again. Love your chicken's and hens. I appreciate your time. GOD BLESS YOU. SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😎🙏
Good to see you, Jeff. I'm glad you can get a few birds moved at a time with this new schedule. Pretty soon, you'll have them all where they need to be. Then there is a 30 day waiting period, correct? Then you can be sure you are getting the current roosters kids, if I remembered correctly what you told us. Keep taking those baby steps, and you'll get where you want to be.
Looks good in the hoop coops. Chickens should be happy. It's nice you can stay home and make a living so you have some money put aside to get you through, hopefully, until you are selling chickens again.
Hi Jeff. Good to see you today. Wow glad you know which bird is which. My heading is spinning. You do have beautiful chickens. Thank you for sharing. Take care✌️🇺🇸
Glad to see you're able to start planning for hatches. I do some chicken breeding and have a couple questions. Wish you were closer so I could visit. First question is how much to you inbreed? A little, a lot, or avoid it always. Second question is how much attention do you pay to a hen's production? I.e., do you attempt to cull out the hens that may not lay as many eggs or smaller eggs? I am messing with BBS blue/green egg layers, single combed and found myself with a whole generation of hens that layed smaller eggs and a few out of each hatch that lay a off white(cream) egg. Now, I'm shooting at keeping only roosters that were hatched from a large to extra large blue/green egg and gettin rid of all hens that don't lay a blue/green egg of at least 2 oz. regardless of feather color. I violated the cardinal rule in production farm animal breeding several years ago. Never choose breeding stock based soley on feather or hair color. Production qualities must come first, then appearance. I know you are busy, but I hope you have time to read this and answer the questions and even offer advice. Oh, I am a 73 yr old retired farmer, carpenter who works now more than before I retired. LOL
You are getting it all figured out. Love you thought process on this years lineup. Early bird get the worm. Come next spring your going to be rolling in the dough. You didn't mention how you faired in that storm the other night. Did the kittys try getting under the covers with you?
Love to hear that chicken talk!! You sound more like yourself when you do! Thats great!! I know the job is tiring and zaps your strength. But, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! God’s blessings to a good man!!

How long and wide are your upper Hugel beds?
As a Sleep Tech/Respiratory Therapist I love beards on chickens, on CPAP users who wear full face masks, not so much.
Where is the daily egg count?? We miss the egg count....
saw a viedo of an octagonal chicken flock aviary with 7 coops combined with runs radiating out
